Disney's Yacht Club Resort
- What's Included
We stayed again at the Yacht Club based on the excellent location near Epcot, great transportation options and helpful staff. Once again, the staff made traveling with someone who is mobility-impaired a little easier. We stayed on the Regatta Club level and enjoyed the breakfasts, snacks and extra level of service. Our guest room had been remodeled since our last visit and had a pleasant contemporary look while maintaining the nautical theme. The new floor surface is very attractive and makes easier going for wheelchair use than carpeting. I would definitely recommend the Yacht Club.
We stayed for 2 nights and one park day before heading out for a cruise. We arrived around 5pm and self parked and were greeted upon walking in to the resort by a lovely lady with an iPad who scanned our magic bands and saw that we had booked club level and walked us inside. While we were waiting a manager came and told us we were family of the day and they were upgrading us to a suite. I suspect this is because the club rooms which had already been remodeled were full. We were not on the club floor but had full club access so we were fine with the exchange. We had a 2 bedroom suite (5155) with a sitting room that had a view of EPCOT and the nightly fireworks and two full bathrooms. My kids loved it! The staff member escorted us right to the lounge for appetizers and to explain the magic bands and club amenities. One of the kids bands did not work so we took it to try to fix it and came back about 15 minutes later with new bands.Club food offerings were plenty for us - a rotating selection of hot appetizers with a standard cold appetizer offering each of our two nights. We made a meal of it as the kids like to get in and get out. There were 2 different types of red and white wines and a selection of beers as well. They were able to find some milk for my youngest when requested although it was only out at breakfast. Dessert had the same fair each evening and cordials no wine or beer available, there was a sparkling wine but it was super sweet and undrinkable in my opinion. Breakfast was the same each morning with a nice selection of pastries, cereals, yogurt, granola and oatmeal. For two days it was perfect for what we wanted although we may have grown bored if we had stayed longer. The room had not been remodeled but was well maintained and clean. There were 2 double beds in each bedroom - the kids were excited because we got double chocolate in the turn down (2 for each bed). Bathroom was well stocked with toiletries including: a razor, shaving cream, foot cream, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and lotion as well as bar soap.Disney transportation always seems to be slow for us - don't know if this is bad luck for the norm as we have only done one other trip. We wound up taking a cab to the Contemporary and walking over to Magic Kingdom in the morning to ensure we were there for rope drop. The monorail broke down trying to transfer from MK to EPCOT so after waiting 30 minutes we wound up grabbing a cab to EPCOT from the transportation center. The best part about Yacht Club is that it was less than a 5 minute walk from EPCOT so no waiting on transportation. We tried the pool our first night. The sandy bottom is neat and it is heated to 82 degrees I was told but being from Texas that was a little too cool for us. After a turn around the lazy river we ended up in the hot tub to warm up. There was a pool bar with snacks available right outside the gate. All and all we had a great stay. It's Disney so I just expect it to be over priced but everything was very nice and the staff very accommodating.
Beautiful, immaculate hotel & grounds! Excellent customer service; very friendly & attentive staff at every encounter. They are undergoing renovations, but we did not notice any disruptions. We happened to stay in a newly renovated room, and it was lovely. The pool area is huge, clean and very nice. There are a lot of dining options at the hotel property and nearby at the Boardwalk area. Walking distance to nearby parks and Boardwalk. Would definitely return!
My wife and I stayed here for three night for a work conference. All I can say is wow. Everything was great. From the checkin to the check out. We had a great view. Great place to stay to travel between Epcot and Hollywood Studios.
We've stayed at most of the Disney resorts, and Yacht Club has by far become our favorite. We stay there with some loyalty now (4-6 weeks per year) and have come to know a lot of the staff, and it just feels like home. Great theme, amazing pool, awesome steak house, great bar (Crew's Cup), and the location can't be beat (walk to Epcot, Boardwalk, or Hollywood Studios)! Highly recommend...can't wait to be back soon.
