Disney's Yacht Club Resort
- What's Included
The staff is SO accommodating with any question or problem you might have. The pool is a ton of fun. Lots to do for kids (tv in lobby), the market (food area) is still under improvements but still very nice and open till 23:30!
This is a premier disney resort and it doesn't disappoint. Flight delays got me in at 3am and the magic express took me right to the hotel door and check in was a breeze. The conference facilities were second to none and hands down the best conference food i have ever had. Rooms are nautical. Cute and very disney. I will say the room walls seem thin. If you are a light sleeper, bring earplugs. i was on the first floor and always heard someones water running. Close to the Boardwalk, walked to Epcot Center and easy bus to the kingdom and disney springs shopping. Tip: use uber as it is less than half of the price of a taxi. it cost me $17 to go to the mall past universal. I loved my stay here.
I was nervous about staying in the Yacht Club because I originally wanted to stay at the Polynesian or Animal Kingdom Lodge at Disney World, but I am so glad we stayed here instead. The room we had was renovated and definitely had a nautical theme but without any obvious or tacky decor. It was so unbelievably light and modern and clean as well. The staff members were very helpful and friendly and the restaurants, particularly the Yachtsman Steakhouse, were excellent. I thought the pool would be too crowded and meant more for families with children, but we ended up having a really relaxing experience there because most of the children play in the more shallow area of the pool and near the pirate ship slide, whereas we were toward the back where the water was deeper. The bottom of the pool has sand on it, which is a really cool feature. This hotel is so clean and beautifully decorated. I am hoping to go back later this year because I loved it that much. The one negative thing I have to say is that our room was located about a 5 minute walk from the elevator. When booking your room, you have the option to ask for a room closer to the elevator, which now I know to ask for, because after a long day at the Disney parks, having to spend five minutes walking to our room was not fun.
Had a freshly refurbished 4th floor room over looking the quiet pool in the rear of the hotel. The room was great. We plan to return in the future. We also had a great time at the pool, at the pool lounge, at the Crew's Cub Lounge next to the steak house. Had breakfast at the Captain's Grille. The omelet was great, the server did his utmost to make our meal enjoyable substituting a special pastry for one of the standard options.
I was surprised at the last minute with a trip to Disney World for Mother's day. Since we were only staying for the weekend, we wanted to be very close to things. We checked in and walked over to the Boardwalk for dinner. The next day we took the boat to Epcot and then to Disney Studios. All very close. We were very luck to get one of the recently upgraded rooms. They had tile floor through out the room. A sliding barn door to the bathroom. 2 queen beds, that were very comfortable. A small deck overlooking the pier. I would love to stay here again.
