Doubletree by Hilton Orlando at SeaWorld
- What's Included
Overview28-acre resort with health spa located next to SeaWorld and 3 blocks from the Convention Center.
I visit Orlando quite often but this was my first time staying at this hotel. At the time it was undergoing some construction so that took away from the appearance of the hotel. Beware there is a resort fee which includes parking... if not then you have to pay parking per day. The cookies were delicious however. The inside of the room was average, nothing spectacular. They should consider making refrigerators and microwaves a standard feature in all rooms instead of making customers pay for those amenities.
We booked here over a year ago, were a bit concerned after some of the reviews, don't be it is a fantastic hotel. Rooms are lovely, yes they are motel style but so are a lot of others out here. Beds are comfortable, rooms have everything you need are very clean. Staff are superb, we have eaten here and the food is great although menu is slightly limited. Disney transfers are very well organised and well worth the $8 , ultimate compliment you can give is if we come back it will be to this hotel , no bigger compliment than that
I had a very nice Tower room for 4 nights. While this was a business trip, I still had some time to enjoy the beautiful pool, pool bar, and surrounding areas. The restaurant had a nice menu and wine list. I ended up eating in the restaurant for three evening meals, as well as for breakfast. (Breakfast buffet was very extensive and also had stations with cooked to order eggs, omelets and waffles. A great value! The grounds and lobby were very nice and clean. Impressively, absolutely EVERYONE on staff always had a friendly smile, a warm greeting, and was eager to help in any way. April and Janet were both so helpful, too!
My stay was amazing! The from was clean and cozy very friendly staff. Always something to do. Never a dull moment for adults nor children and not far from any attraction. Sea world is literally in your back yard! Can't beat that.
We booked this hotel for our once in a lifetime trip to Orlando Florida as we had our heart set on this property. We were suppose to be traveling as a group of five, two adult couples and a child of eleven, but we were let down massively by this hotel. We had booked two tower rooms at an additional cost to make our holiday even more enjoyable and we're looking forward to our trip immensely. We booked in January 2017 for our holiday which will be in May 2018 for two weeks. One year and five months in advance through virgin holidays. Only to be told last week on the 14th of July 2017, SEVEN months after we had booked, that they had taken on a large group booking and that we would have to be relocated to another hotel. Which was not satisfactory. As you can imagine this has caused us terrible upset and has threatened to turn our plans in to chaos as we have made a lot of plans surrounding the fact we were staying at this hotel. To add insult to injury we would of been arriving the day after my sons 11th birthday. I would not wish this nightmare on any family planning a trip to Orlando, Florida. Beacause of that I would not recommend booking in advance with this hotel. Especially if you are a family travelling with children because I am now terrified I won't be able to find a suitable replacement hotel and may have to cancel my holiday altogether and re think the whole thing. I think this is a disgrace on the hotels part and I feel terribly let down and disheartened. I will not stress enough to anyone thinking of booking this hotel to think twice and choose somewhere different or risk your holiday being thrown in to disarray. Jamie-Leigh (Extremely upset would of been guest)
