Pay less at a Hilton or a Sheraton

This is a great hotel but way overpriced. Not even the water in the suite is complimentary. The breakfast buffet was substandard and at a $21 cost. It felt as if they were trying to pinch pennies out of me.

Grand Hyatt delight!

Everything was first rate! I highly recommend this hotel for the service, the rooms, the cleanliness, the upkeep. I would definitely stay there again. We’ll be back! Also, the oystercatcher restaurant was superb!

Great stay

Lovely hotel on a huge property isolated from down town with walking and bike trails. Staff is very friendly. Parking garage with optional valet. 2 or 3 restaurants on hotel property. Huge office spaces . Only negatives were with the bathrooms( Towel bar was hanging on barely and shower door wouldn't close completely .) And a reservation issue . 4.5/5 stars tho.

Great Property, Very Satisfied

Everything about this hotel is good, the only thing stopping it from being a 5 is it's isolation from everything else in Tampa (can't walk to anything). However, if walking isn't your thing then this is a 5 all the way. I stayed here for a conference being held at the hotel and was very satisfied. Room was nicely appointed, internet worked good, bed was comfortable, bathroom was large and comfortable. The TV is mounted to the wall which means you can't swivel it when sitting at the desk, but it's a huge TV and worthwhile. The conference and meeting facilities were very well appointed, comfortable chairs, good audio/visual services, and in general was a very positive experience. Food and beverage also outstanding. The Oystercracker restaurant is a bit of a walk from the main hotel but VERY worthwhile. This is a good property, I would stay here again!

Lovely hotel, service is terrible

Upon checking in, front desk clerk Connor and older woman with British accent got in an argument that continued for a good five minutes. He complained because she wouldn't help him. She nastily accused him of thinking he is perfect and she really is a nice person. She certainly didn't sound like one. The young lady who checked me in while these two were bickering was very nice. We waited at the bar for more than 10 minutes while 1 bartender carried on a personal conversation with the only other person at the bar. The other bartender was walking back and forth doing nothing. We went into the café for dinner. The server brought the food and it was fine and we never saw him again until the check came. My husband laid his phone down and forgot it. He asked the front desk and they wouldn't even bother to check with security where lost and found is located. Told him to go online and fill out a form. Security had the phone we now know and for $23.78 they are willing to mail it even though they had it the entire time, even when front desk told him they did not. Would never stay in that place again. It's beautiful but their staff is horrible.
