I tried to contact Mr. Winsor by phone, Website and Email with no response. Also, I have heard nothing about my shirt that was ruined. NOT A GOOD PLACE.On the face of things, it looks like a nice Hotel. But as soon as we entered the room it was a disaster. First, we found Pubic Hair in our Bed, so I called to have the sheets replaced. Then I walked into the bathroom turned on the lights and nothing happened. Both lights in the bathroom were out. So, I called to have those replaced. I then started to Iron my clothes for Dinner. I set the iron temp for synthetic and started to iron my shirt. the temp on the iron was way higher than the setting so the iron stuck to my shirt and burned holes in it. Now just staying the night, this was the only dress shirt that I had. I went to the Front Desk to let them know my issues. Well the staff could not have been more rude. I asked to speak to a manager and was told he was on the phone. 20 minutes later he comes out and insinuates that I burned my shirt on purpose. WOW really, why would I do that? So after arguing with him for a while, he tells me that he will send security to the room to file a report. After sitting for an hour we still had Pubic Hair in the bed, no lights and no security. We finally left for Dinner, me in a T shirt mind you. Then upon returning later that night, still no security, sheets changed but bed not made just sheets thrown on top of the bed. But at least the lights worked. and a card wanting to leave us Fruit. Fruit. I repeat Fruit. so we go to sleep. Low and behold there is a baby next door screaming! OMG really! Went to the front desk the next morning to complain and no one made notes on our account and no one knew what was going on. Finally an hour later we got free breakfast that's it nothing else. Went to breakfast, went to the buffet and guess what...hair in the bacon. not only in the bacon but also in my napkin when I opened it. We just could not wait to get out of there. We went for the Lazy River on site and never saw it. JUST THE WORST!!
Thumbs up to a great hotel, friendly, clean, full facilities, luxurious well appointed rooms, fun lazy river, great (but slightly expensive) restaurants and superb transfers to Disney parks free of charge. No regrets staying off the Disney grid and a bit of luxury too!
I attended a conference here and I was so impressed with the resort. The hotel is bright and clean. The staff is friendly and attentive. The food was excellent and the restaurant staff was friendly and courteous. Big thumbs to the housekeepers. I rate this hotel a big 10.
My wife and I had annual passes to Disney World so we would take short weekend trips. We stayed at this hotel and were impressed! Very clean, great rooms with an awesome view and the pool was a fun and relaxing retreat from the summers heat. Plenty of places to eat close by and was super close to the park, about 10 minutes is all. The only thing we didn't like was having to pay $20 to park, but that covered the weekend and is standard with most hotels in that area.
Anniversary weekend was very enjoyable. The Zeta restaurant was great. The Director of Restaurants had the chef bring us a beautiful dessert for our 54th anniversary. It was very special and we really enjoyed it.
