Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress
- What's Included
My family just stayed at this resort for spring break. We staff was excellent and accommodating. The room was spacious and clean. Now to the best piece! The hotel's grounds! Wow! Amazing!! We took advantage of the canoeing, paddle boats and bike riding. We actually went bike riding every morning. The location is so beautiful! The pool was even better! Surprisingly the pool was not crowded even though it was Spring break. Yes, sometimes it was hard to find a lounger since people placed towels on the chairs but we eventually found some. Be careful ordering a lot from the pool area because it can become expensive. It's easy to charge to the room but the bill can add up at the end. Overall, at is a beautiful resort and we had a great time! We will definitely return again.
While the hotel is nice, room was clean, I feel it was too much. Never would stay there if it wasn't a hotel assigned to me for with a travel package. Also, their staff steals items left behind, or throws them away with no regards to see if you may call looking for them. I would definitely stay somewhere else. Also, almost $9.00 for imported beer.
Clean, comfortable rooms and the outdoor areas offer plenty of refreshing areas to conduct business. The staff is extremely friendly. The long meeting days were made more pleasant by the outstanding venue.
Where to begin? To our initial non greeting from the outside Porter when we arrived to all the staff misinformation we received after constantly being put on hold.I requested hypo allergenic pillows before I arrived and they were all down. The concierge over charging for tickets to all attractions."CAVEAT EMPTOR". Buy all your tickets online, in advance to get the proper discounts. Horrible room service. I asked the guy for some bread and he said when he comes back to our floor. Two hours later it arrived and my kids were asleep. The bikes are so old and dangerous for children. No more tread on tires and hard to break. Also, under inflated. When I asked for air. The staffer said the guy was off today.I rode to another resort to get my tires inflated. It seems like they hire young kids who have no clue about anything, especially service. I spoke to several managers and they never apologized for anything. Only the kids pool is heated and has no lifeguards. The pools are open 24 hours. Not sure who would want to swim at night in such freezing water. No camera's and lack of security were apparent.Kids were diving where they clearly should not and putting other guests in harms way. Cigarette butts were scattered all over the resort. No one obeyed the smoking zones because they were not enforced. If you have young children this Resort is not for you. Even the children's activities were disorganized and chaotic. You have to keep an eye on them constantly. Balcony's are a joke. You can't even fit a chair on them and rooms are very small.Overall, I was very disappointed and will not return. Poorly managed.Rather stay at a Disney Resort and get the service you pay for.The only positive was the layout and beauty of the grounds but you could come for a day to enjoy it. I was here for a week with my kids and nothing improved. Pretty much self service here. Food is also mediocre for the price. I spoke with other guests and they all had the same complaints. The only person who made me feel like I was in a 4 star resort was Dora from housekeeping. She deserves a raise. So accommodating to our needs. I give her FOUR STARS!!!
Visited for a work conference. The hotel staff was friendly, the property expansive with a lot of amenities, and the room clean/quiet (save door slamming which is a problem at all hotels). If only hotels installed door fixtures that would prevent slamming. Anyway, the hotel is nice for guests as well as work events.
