International Palms Resort
- What's Included
Stayed in the Tower and, following a complaint about the state of the first room, was moved quite quickly. The main areas of the hotel, ie, cafe, pool, gym, restaurant were ok, but I found the Tower and its rooms to be in need of a revamp. Location again was OK with a couple of nice places to eat close by but I wouldn't stay here again.
When me and my friend first got to the hotel to check in they claimed that they weren't able to find our reservation we had to wait close to 40 mins for them to figure it out they ended up double booking us with another family so now we had to wait longer for them to get a new room ready ... finally we got to the room settled in rooms are out dated they were just ok it was just convenient and on the cheaper side as far as the room rates probably won't be coming back
The rooms were nice and the location was very convenient. The pool was nice, the food was good. We stayed there so we could be on International Blvd. You can walk on International Blvd and you have access to activities and food. It is about an hour drive to Disney World and we also drove 2 hours and visited Cocoa Beach and the Kennedy Space Station Centre.
We stayed in the tower behind the main hotel and our room was fine. I understand that the hotel is currently closed for refurbishment so it would be interesting to return and see what changes have been made. We didn't have any meals at the hotel so I can't report on those, preferring to breakfast either at Denny's (once) down the road or, more frequently, at the World Cafe right opposite the hotel . We had no problems with the cleanliness of our room, as long as it meets the two criteria in being clean and comfortable beds then that's ok. The pool area was nice and we did like the cocktails at the pool bar, very refreshing. The hotel is ideally situated on International Drive and if we had known about it we'd have bought one of the tickets for the former trolleybuses that run a regular service along the Drive as they are very reasonably priced indeed. Anyone visiting should find out about these as a means of getting about, assuming they haven't hired a car of course.
The loalcality and area of the hotel is really noce. The rooms are really spacious especially in comparison to hotels in asia and europe. Like it had 2 double beds thats was pretty shocking to me. The facilities and pool and all are really nice. The gardens are well trimmed. One of the major issues that we faced was the wifi its 2016 AND THEIR WIFI SPPEDS WERE SLOWER THAN WHAT I HAVE SEEN 2 STAR HOTELS IN ASIA and also we spotted some coackroaches in the corridors. If you willing to ditch the wifi definitely a place to stay.
