International Palms Resort Cocoa Beach
- What's Included
The buffet was fresh and delicious. The kids loved making their own waffles and they tasted really good. Our server Patty was awesome. This is our second time here in 2 weeks and we will definitely be back here again
It’s super run down but that’s okay I can deal with that what I couldn’t deal with it was freezing cold and the hot water was out. When we rang them the first time they said ‘I got you. We’ll look into it’ didn’t hear anything back figured I’ll shower in the morning. The next day still no hot water, we rang them again and they sent someone down & he told us he’ll have a look at the furnace. We waited half an hour and rang reception again they didn’t have any idea what we were talking about. Rang again about 20 later and was told it wouldn’t be working till tomorrow morning. We asked to be moved to another room sorry we are full. Is there anywhere we can have a shower? I’m sorry no. I asked to speak to the manager, she didn’t answer or call me back. It’s cheap but seriously no hot water!
Saw the reviews and initially felt hesitant, but the staff were so nice and made the stay great. Kelley at the front desk made sure that I had a great room and addressed all of my concerns from the start. The buildings are kind of old which may turn away people who care about the looks of the hotel more than the hospitality, but they're missing out. Comfortable beds, spacious and clean rooms, and the hot tub was amazing temperature wise. This place is affordable and while it might not be 5 star with fancy furniture, it's a great place to stay and give excellent beach access. Will be coming back, if nothing else because the staff was so helpful and friendly.
Been to many hotels as we travel quite a bit, four in cocoa beach and have never been so disgusted as I was this trip. Cleaning doesn't happen and we had roaches in our room. Went to wipe up some sand and wash rag turned black. Beds were flimsy and filthy underneath with dust, dirt, and left overs from other guest, apparently this is a spot we don't need to clean. This hotel has several buildings, and only cleaning we saw was the guy mopping the sidewalk, never any maids. If you have you children taking a shower stay in bathroom with them, as the water temperature goes from nice to scalding in an instant with no warning. We thought it was do to occupancy the first night. Nope, no matter what time or amount of guest.
We arrived for 1 night and reception area seemed fine. We got to the room which was facing the hot tub and the door although it locked from the inside secure from the outside there was at least 1 inch gap right around the door and it didnt look secure at all. I tried to call reception from the phone in the room but that didnt work either! We took all our luggage back to the car as we felt it would be safer locked in there than in the room!Reception did offer the room next door that was marginally better. The door still didnt seem too secure and phone wasnt working but at least the sheets and towels were clean! We arrived late in the day and only stayed for 1 night. Had we booked for any longer I would have moved elsewhere like others.I have travelled all over the world and can tolerate most hotel but this was truly a DUMP.
