International Palms Resort Cocoa Beach
- What's Included
Clean, family friendly enviroment. My family & I were pleased with the fantastic customer service. Two employees went above and beyond, Persio & Sabrina made sure our accomidations were comfortable. We were very satisfied and will be returning to this resort. Sheryl
We came into the room and immediately smelled a poor quality "potpourri." After scouring the room, I discovered an orange "freshener" laying atop the air conditioner outflow under the plastic grate. My husband informed me that the orange "potpourri" was a urinal sanitizer shield! He pulled it off and the room stopped smelling like a men's restroom, eventually. I put the sanitizer shield back in place when I left, lest I be charged for removing motel property. The microwave cord was too short to reach the outlet. We balanced it precariously on the edge of the sink, plugging it into the hair dryer outlet! Then there was the shower... The water took about ten minutes to get warm. No need to turn on the cold faucet, saving some effort in preparing a shower. The water pressure was much like what it must be to be peed on, a dribbling stream. A theme develops... The bed pillows were surely taken from someone's couch-little square rocks covered in pillow cases. The floor may or may not have been swept prior to our usage of the room. To be fair, the grounds were nice. If only we could have pitched our tent! The pool is heated and if you don't mind sharing a hot tub with the occasional undiapered baby (yes, really!) or inebriated beer-toter, the water was great for a soak. The fire pits were nice for S'mores and we enjoyed our walk on the beach. Skip the breakfast for $13 a person and grab some eats at the Publix up the road.
Check in was fast and easy but that point it went downhill. We reserved a room on the 1st floor and they gave us a 2nd floor rome (lugging luggage up 2 flights of stairs). The room was a plain jane. Door didn't feel like it shut secure (not a tight shut and had movement), TV resception was terrible called front desk and they sent maintenance man to fix it. He stuffed a dishrag between cable and the tv connection to get a better signal (connection was loose to the back) , Outdated bathroom, toilet flushed very slow. Went to Mambos restaurant and couldn't get a waitress to take our order so we left (4 customers in the place). In summation this resort is old and a low budget hotel. Calling it a resort is a real stretch. You get what you pay for.
This Place was outdated and as a previous reviewer stated "it a a motel 6 near the beach". Mold in bathroom in tile grout and on walls. I can go on but I won't. If you review my previous review history, I am more than complimentary and forgiving but this place was misrepresented on travel websites. Especially the distance from Melbourne Airport.
This hotel was supposed to be a three star hotel but the room we got was very old and out dated. For the price we paid, we were expecting a lot better. Breakfast was also not included. The front desk were friendly though.
