- What's Included
Beautiful location with fun amenities. Old school luxury makes it super affordable. Been there twice now, love Mambos and the beach. Awesome bloody Mary's. Kayla makes the best Mai Tai's. The staff, very friendly. The pool, fun and entertaining. We will be back
Stayed here one night on a business trip, arriving at 9pm. Paid thru Hotels.com - When I checked out the next morning, they tried to charge me an $8 "Resort Facility Fee." I stated that I checked in the night before and never used the resort facilities. They were unwavering until several other guests arrived at desk. When I showed pictures of the mold in the bathroom, that settled it. No resort facility charge.
We stayed here before our cruise with as a group of four friends and had a great time! We stayed in a loft unit which offered lots of space and was quite comfortable and clean. Parking was easy near our room. The loft room type also offered two bathrooms which expedited getting ready in the morning and had ample storage space for everyone's bags. The full kitchen would also be a nice amenity for longer stays in this room type! We really enjoyed the tiki bar -- the rum buckets were great! Live music was also nice on Friday night. There were quite a few family friendly amenities and the property was right next to the beach. Would stay again!
I have never written a bad review before but after my experience this weekend at this hotel I feel that I must! We came to Cocoa Beach because my son's baseball tournament. Although I have read the reviews and they were not good we still went ahead and booked this hotel because a lot of the team's families were staying there. Huge mistake!!! Forget about the facts that the room smelled like cigarettes, that everything looked old and dated, that we had to walk to 4 different ice dispensers because none of them worked, that the room didn't have a garbage can, that the hot water didn't work, etc etc! After raining all night we woke up to two roof leaks directly on our bed and a major roof leak in the bathroom, so bad that it was flooded!!! We packed our stuff, went to the reception desk, told them what had happened, that we were leaving, and that we wanted our money back. The girl didn't even questioned it, as if she knew what it's happening, cancelled our reservation, and refunded our first night charge. I felt really bad for the girl because ultimately it's not her fault. I can't believe that a place like this is still open and allowing reservations. It is simply deporable!!!
After first checking in, we decided to have a bite at Mambo's and enjoy the atmosphere. We were treated as if we were a burden for being there. We had a server that had been there for 7 years, and mentioned it quite a bit but had no intention of trying to make us happy. "You know what you want yet?" was the first sentence I heard from this lady. $9 dollar drinks and up, and $13 for some Nachos. As we tried to eat our food she glared at us the whole time from the Server Station out front. We never came back. The room was okay. The sheets were very rough, but did seem to be clean. There was some mold in the bathroom, and the tub had a leak in the drain kit so water was underneath the tub, and felt as if you were on a boat when you used it. Also if you were showering and a neighbor also used water we would get scalded. The pool was not much better. While swimming I had to grab about three plastic cups from the water. Also the Jacuzzi had tons of beer cans laying around it, and the rafters above the jacuzzi had tons of beer cans, like someone thought it would be fun to throw them up there. I get it, not all customers can be clean and courteous, but the 3 days we stayed the same cans were there every single day. Booked a week at this motel for a week and ended up checking out after the 3rd day. All the doors here stick very badly and you have to slam the door to get it shut. I was obviously not the only one because everyone around me also had to do this. I can't even blame other visitors because of this. We had some neighbors that were screaming all night and repeatedly kept going their car to smoke marijuana. This place advertises that it is "Oceanfront" but has many motel buildings that are not actually Oceanfront, they have 1 building that is Oceanfront and you have to pay twice that of the normal room.I wanted to like this place, I really did. I can't recommend it. Anyone that gave this place a 5 star is a fool, or works for the hotel.
