International Palms Resort Cocoa Beach
- What's Included
Okay I think our room was fairly clean there was no mold and our sheets were clean. That's the positives. This is a motel (doors on the outside), our view was of more ugly motels. The AC barely worked, luckily we had 2 adjoining rooms and the AC from one room floated to our room. The pools were overcrowded with people and kids listening to their own portable speakers of rap/hip hop. Guests with lots of large dogs and pitbulls on property peeing on everything. The element at this hotel was so bad my husband would not leave to even run to the store; we had to load up all kids and valuables to run to 7-11! Bought 1 draft beer and 1 mixed drink at the bar it was $16!!! Front desk staff had no idea how to help us with our Cruise and Snooze package, kept giving us the run around so that we missed our 11am shuttle and had to wait until 12pm for the next one (which I had to call myself and find out). I would never stay in a place like this, we booked through GO Port Canaveral as part of a package. Nothing went as promised. Our selected hotel had damage and we could not stay there so they booked us here and it was a poor substitute plus I had to pay extra to rebook. DO NOT STAY HERE WE DID NOT FEEL SAFE!
We went for our Anniversary & the staff was Awesome. Our room was good, clean, & right on the corner near Mambo's. The food was Really Yummy at Mambo's. The beach access is really easy to use with several showers. There is a nice fire pit area & they sell s'mores kits at the front office. The pool was clean & the jacuzzi was nice. It is really close to ALOT of different local entertainment.
This place was so disgusting!!!!!! Rooms are soooo dirty!!! DO NOT LET THE PICTURES FOOL YOU !!! It was a Birthday getaway and it was awful !!!!! No matter how cheap the price is - it's not worth the drive there !! Those are just a few of the pictures !!!
We spent 5 nights at the International Palms Cocoa Beach October 8-13th. We have been coming here since 1997 when it was a Holiday Inn. We are very aware that it is not a luxury hotel. We love the close proximity to the beach and the kids area. This visit was VERY disappointing. The 5 days we were there we had our room cleaned 1 time and that was because I complained very adamantly for the 2nd time. The day prior, I had to go to the front desk to get toilet paper and was told they would send someone and no one ever showed up. I bought a broom and had to sweep our floors. We chose not to move hotels because of the hassle. We were given credits to Mambos for our hassle but not once did I hear “I’m sorry”. The credits did not even cover 1/3rd of our dinner of 2 adults and 2 children ( we ordered sandwiches). The manager in duty said she could not credit us nights for staying because we booked through another site and not directly. After 20 years of coming here, I doubt we will ever return.
I booked through a travel site welll in advance. However, Hurricane Irma had her own reservation at this property and she treated it like a heavy metal band on tour would have. Our rooms were ocean front and the location cannot be better for beach lovers. The room literally opens to a footpath to the sand. Because of this, there was considerable damage to the accommodation, and the hotel naturally was trying to get rooms back in condition to be sold. This was certainly premature. The rooms were in poor shape, the weatherstripping was missing from beneath the door which made an entryway for sand and water. The Wi-Fi also wasn't functioning. Let's simply say that there were numerous issues overlooked by the maintenance department when they told management that the rooms were back in service. After a two night stay, we checked out and voiced our concerns to Bre, who was an extremely helpful front desk clerk. She took numerous notes, and then went to the manager. He promptly resolved the situation to my complete satisfaction, and I couldn't ask for a better response. This was obviously a situation that was clearly not business as usual for this property, and having been at ground zero myself for Irma, I will not fault this hotel for trying the best it could. However, if you expect luxury, this isn't your resort of choice. It is more like an old style beach motel with basic rooms. But who stays in their room when one of Florida's best beaches is yards away? The review from the Canadian guest calling it a meth user hangout obviously has never spent time in Toronto, which is the place for meth tourists to visit. ( They prefer cheaper rooms.) I will certainly stay here again when I'm in Cocoa Beach and see the place at its best.
