2 night pre-cruise stay

On the plus side: great location, beautiful beach, pool and hot tub, wonderful beachfront bar and grill.But....... thank goodness we got a super low rate on TripAdvisor because the other costs of staying there were outrageous. $40 per day if we wanted chairs and umbrella, pretty expensive drinks, and $13.50 each for same breakfast buffet that is given free at other hotels like comfort inn, etc. I would avoid the "Breakfast Place" as it is just a hotel lobby type spot, and get a good breakfast at Mambos beachfront for less money instead.Biggest deal breaker for me however was the uncomfortable HARD bed. If we were booked for longer I would have tried to purchase a mattress topper somewhere.Other than that the room was adequate but nothing special.

Rooms are barely adequate

We stayed in a pet friendly room with our dog, and though we did not need it, it was handicapped room. A bit scary for someone who might be handicapped, wheel chair accessible except for the tub you had to step into...might be a problem for some folks. The bed was only fair, the room dismal and sparsely furnished. The rug was filthy and the whole place smelled very musty. TV reception was terrible and got worse when we turned on AC. No fridge in room. Took 15 minutes to check out......long lines. The restaurants and bars and pool and grounds were great.

This place is gross

We booked here to be close to cruise port. It's gross, run down, our room smelled like ammonia. My daughter opened a door thinking it was a closet and we opened someone else's room. The environment is actually scary. I don't advise you try it out to find out what I mean by scary. The staff is very friendly. It's not their fault they work here.

Great place for the money

We enjoyed our stay at International Palms Resort. The staff was friendly and helpful. We were able to upgrade to a Ocean View Villa for an additional charge per night and it was well worth it. Fabulous view and the room had been newly renovated. Palms is nothing fancy, but they are making upgrades. It was clean and seemed to be family friendly. We will stay with them again when we return to Cocoa Beach.

About average for the area.

The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The grounds are nice and well kept. For a reasonably priced family stay in Cocoa Beach that's a good deal. We highly recommend IP for families on a budget. We enjoyed the place and will very likely return.
