Loews Royal Pacific Resort at Universal Orlando
- What's Included
We took our daughter to visit the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. I always research everything before I travel, and opted to stay on property to get both the Early Admission (vital to avoid some lines) and the Express Pass. We stayed at the Royal Pacific in one of the Jurassic Park Suites. The staff at the hotel is very well trained, knowledgeable about the park, and all go out of their way to ensure you have a good stay. The suite was much roomier than I expected and we had a lovely view overlooking the pool and Hogwarts in the distance. The hotel is located very close to the Island of Adventures/City walk, and you can either walk or opt to take the water taxi to the park. I cannot tolerate lines at all, and by checking the monthly schedule with Universal on crowd expectations, and using the Early Admission for staying on property, we had virtually no wait at all for either the Forbidden Journey or Gringotts ride during our visit. (We were only interested in the Harry Potter parks, not the other attractions)You arrive at the park for the early admission, go right to your most desired ride, eat at off times (we had no wait at either Leaky Cauldron or Three Broomsticks by doing this).A great benefit of staying on property is when the Harry Potter world crowds get too thick and the heat too much - you take a water taxi back to the hotel and relax for a few hours, then go back to the park a few hours before closing when the crowds have greatly reduced. As for the hotel itself, the rooms were spacious and very nice, the public areas pretty, and the pool area lovely and very relaxing. But what really stands out is the staff. Everyone was helpful and courteous. Special nods to Fernando at the pool, and Sung Kyung at the Orchid Lounge went above and beyond.I'm actually not a huge fan of theme parks, but our stay at Royal Pacific was so nice, the hotel and park so organized, that I would visit again and just enjoy the resort while the kids went to the park.
We loved staying here even if it was for one night! We checked in early after parking the car ($22 per night) and left our bags at reception so we could get our express tickets and get into the parks. We were welcomed with really friendly staff who helped us get our fast passes. They said we would be notified of our room number later that day by text, but we only were told our room was ready, so it was difficult to have things delivered back to your room during the day when you bought goods in the stores. Room was lovely, two queen beds for 2 adults and 2 children, only one bathroom, which with teenagers is challenging (one night was enough!) We eat in the hotel restaurant that night but didn't like the food, the manager was very nice and gave us a discount on our food though, so it all worked out. There is a boat to the parks which is lovely, especially in the evening. It is also a short walk by footpath. We had early entry into the park the next morning which we did before check out, we rode King Kong before the crowds can in for the usual 90 minute wait, result, and all this before check out!! A lovely hotel, would most definitely stay again!
Fantastic hotel and accommodation. Highly recommend and will definitely return hopefully soon. Staff were very welcoming and very helpful. Room was spotless. We loved the boat ride over to universal. Early park admission and express passes an added bonus too.
We stayed here for 9 nights and enjoyed every second from the moment we crossed the bridge into the reception area to the moment we checked out. Our room was on the 7th floor of Tower 3 (Club Level). The room was large, comfortable and more than adequate for two people with a sofa, desk and 42" TV as well as a huge bed. The shower was something else and we never wanted to get out of it.The whole place was spotlessly clean. Any scuffs that appeared on the corridor walls disappeared over night almost by magic. Yes there was the odd piece of litter in the pool area but this was only what less considerate guests left behind and usually was picked up by a member of staff in a matter of minutes. We even spotted a member of staff power washing the walls of the service road at the rear of the property! What makes the Royal Pacific Resort special is the staff and the amazing service they provide. Whether it be reception, housekeeping, poolside, security and even those that operated the water taxis, everyone we encountered was friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. The staff in the Club Level concierge were outstanding. On a number of occasions we went asking how we could get taxis, make restaurant reservations, even print our boarding cards for our flight home and rather than tell us how, each time they did it for us. Justin in particular was very helpful in re-negotiating our airport taxi pick up time.Yes we would go back to the Royal Pacific tomorrow if we could and would have no hesitation in recommend it to others thinking about staying here.
Stayed for a week with my partner in May 2017. Upon check in we were treated to a friendly and helpful service, and presented with flower Leo's to greet us! Our room was 1333 (in tower one at lobby level) and was ideal because it was so quiet yet convenient for exiting to the water taxi and walkway. Water taxi is frequent and pleasant, recommended for the May heat as walking was sweaty and hot! It runs from 7am to 2am!! Didn't use the resort pool or restaurants. Housekeeping was awesome! Mini fridge provided which was handy. There's an IHOP and a Walgreens a short walk away up Universal Boulevard to International Drive. Use your Maps app to get a walking route. Express passes are offered as standard at this hotel but beware U.K. visitors, this does not include your park entry!! The express passes were a godsend as the parks were very busy and queues were up to an hour a time. Overall loved this place!!
