Amazing experience!

We normally stay at the Hard Rock when we visit Orlando so we decided to try a different Universal Resort. Our weekend in the Royal Pacific exceeded our expectations! The staff were very pleasant and professional. It is very well kept, clean, tidy and very detailed. The spa was the highlight of my weekend. Hotel guest enjoy the luxury of having the park to themselves an hour early before it opens to the general public. After a long trip to both parks, trust me there is no better feeling than to unwind in a hot indoor jacuzzi, steam room and/or sauna. Make sure to get your drinks at Bula Bar by the pool patio. Dave, Derek, and Colin were the most memorable staff employees. We were able to enjoy the NFL playoff games at the Bula Bar with fellow hotel guest and friendly bar tenders.Even during heavy traffic they work promptly and work magic with their signature drinks. Don't forget to get your complimentary express passes while your there! It is a MUST have!

Wonderful one night stay

We are from Utah and have season passes to the parks, and if we are staying for a night or more will stay on site at one of the resorts. We have stayed here many times before and chose it because we know we would be treated great, be close to the park, and for the express passes. The lady at check in was not overly friendly and to me lacked the customer service skills that I am used to. She was get down to business and get us out. I actually commented to her, wow you are just a down to business person and she said well I want to get to out to your adventure as quick as possible. This could really upset a person had this been their first interaction with the hotel. I am big on customer service and was not of fan of her...oh well...we went off to start our adventures! Our room was not quite ready as it was early, as soon as we were ready to come back from the parks though our room was ready. We were on the main floor in tower 2 room 2350. It was a nice room. Everything looked great and was clean. I hate to see nit picky reviews where people are looking for things to be dirty and get on the hotel for it because they do their best to turn the room over for the next person as quickly as possible, and everything was great but as I was brushing my teeth when I leaned in, I did notice how dirty the frame of the mirror was. There are somethings that I think just need to be looked at maybe once every few days or so, just so that the items that are right in front of you are clean. It was a little gross. Also later that afternoon around 3 day of check in, there was a few loud pulls at the door, I thought maybe it was someone in the adjoining room that was making sure that the door to our room was locked, but then I heard the key fab going off, and then it heard it unlock so I went to the room door and there was a housekeeping staff with two gentlemen standing there with their bags and they were trying to get in to our room. The housekeeping staff member said this is your room? The guys were freaking out saying that this was there room and that they booked us both? I said no this is our room and he showed me his keys, and it clearly said 2352. They didn't even apologize maybe they were embarrassed, but I was more frustrated that they staff member was just letting them in my room with out checking what their room number actually was. No matter what I would stay here again, because overall even though it wasn't perfect it was still great!

Home again

My family stayed her for our fourth time. This is our go to place when we visit Orlando. I am so happy to be giving it a 5 star review. The rooms were clean, the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I love how quick check in is. The security at the water taxi was always thorough, but quick. The hotel offers early entrance to one of the parks each day and unlimited fast passes. Both are great perks. It is easy to get to the parks either by walking path (about 10 min) or water taxi. The boat captains are friendly and a good resource when not sure about something. My last review was only four stars as I found one section of the hotel staff not so friendly. I am so happy that it seems to have changed for the better. We will absolutely return to this hotel. I can't wait for our next trip.

Welcoming atmosphere

I brought my daughters' to Orlando for a combined birthday/Christmas/early graduation celebration this year. It's very clean, welcoming atmosphere with the staff making us feel at home. When they found out it's my youngest daughter's birthday, they gave balloons and a complimentary dessert voucher. She was so happy. It's location is very convenient. You can either walk to the park or use the water taxi. They have a movie by the pool when we were there. It offers different restaurants on site depending what kind of cuisine you want. Just make sure you reserve ahead of time especially if you have a large party. Included in your stay is their equivalent of skipping the lines for those attractions that offer it. Saves you time on your visit.

Fantastic hotel, great location and reasonably priced

This hotel is brilliant. Recently renovated rooms feel bright and well designed with plenty of plugs and USB ports, coffee machine and fridge. The tv has plenty of channels and there is an extensive room service menu. The hotel has a number of bars and restaurants with the lobby bar serving great cocktails. There is a few shops, a well equipped gym and sauna, steam and spa pool all included in the price. The universal theme parks are a ten minute walk or short boat ride away. The security check is done whilst you wait for the boat so this saves time, but we found it quicker to walk the majority of the time. If the restaurants at the hotel aren't to your liking then there will be something at city walk that is! The staff are fantastic and very friendly, and we're able to deal with all our requests well. We got a room with the view we wanted, and were able to check in earlier than the 2pm stated time. You also get early entry into Harry Potter worlds and unlimited express pass, which is a must have! We didn't queue for longing than 10 minutes the whole week! Whilst this hotel is more expensive than some in the area all the above points means we would definitely highly recommend it! If you're from the Uk, virgin holidays give you a free drinks voucher which is a nice touch. The only down side is the $20 a day parking charge however.
