We thought the new rooms were great. We checked in early and left till room was ready around 3pm.The pool for kids was a crazy mess so many people,my kids were like no we are not going in!!Then we realized the back pool they wanted to go in was for adults only.It was nice and clean. It was as if all the local bring their kids here on wknds. We ordered more towels and they brought them within an hr.They need to take away extra resort fee bc we will not be using pools.
I stayed here for 8 days for a family vacation with a family bunk bed suite. There are so many great things about the hotel. First off, the activities put on are great, and the staff for that are absolutely AMAZING. The amenities are great, and the hotel is extremely clean and nice. We also had a housekeeper one night (name could not be determined by front desk) who was the best I ever had in any hotel! She/He wound up our cords, organized our files, folded and hung up our clothes, and organized our snacks. It was cleaner than my own house (See photos of this below)! However there are a few concerns. The wifi is pretty much unusable and needs a serious update. The lines to check-in are ridiculous. Shuttle service is very inconsistent (usually late, the one time we missed it the bus was early). However, the worst is the guest services desk operation. There are two positions, but one only sells vacations. That leaves for one person to wait in line to buy park tickets (takes 30 minutes) or get a bus voucher for the park shuttle (takes 30 seconds). Many including me were extremely frustrated to wait over an hour in line to get a single voucher, while the other representative did not help or have a line and just sold vacations. This is something the resort should fix. Despite those issues, the hotel is awesome! If the hotel fixes those issues, I would give the hotel a 5 star rating without a doubt!
Terrible place to stay. We were there for the last 7 days. There is no customer service! All they want is your money. One night I called the front desk to get some blankets and 5 irate calls and an hour later we finally got the blankets ! I even offered to go down to the front desk to collect the blankets myself but that wasn't an option !Housekeeping is terrible. We were 5 of us staying in the room and every time they would replenish the bath towels, they would only put 4 back ! One night I asked to get another bath towel and again few calls and an hour later I finally get a bath towel !On both occasions I asked to speak with the manager the next morning but the manager never bothered to call. The wireless was terrible in the room. It would keep dropping and you have to keep agreeing to their terms/agreement before you can get online again ! The wireless signal was so weak and with non existent wifi, I had to stand outside in a corner to make calls ! I saw other hotel patrons standing in the hallways and making calls as well.
Just returned from a long Presidents Day weekend stay at this hotel/resort. We had an enjoyable stay with a few minor issues that left me debating between a 3 or 4 rating. We arrived later in the evening and encountered no delays or lines to check in. The front desk staff was friendly and we quickly had our keys and made our way to our room. Our room was in building 6, on the 5th floor and overlooked the pond area. We had 6 people in our king, 2 bedroom suite. The room was nice sized and we were all comfortable during our stay. Building 6 is near the main lagoon pool area and we had no noise issues from the neighboring rooms. Only one elevator per building so I would recommend families with small kids stay on a lower level. One great thing outside of the larger than average room size is the hotel does have a lot of amenities. We all enjoyed the lagoon pool area, water park and basketball court. The hotel throughout the afternoon hosted various activities poolside which was fun to watch and dive in movies at night. Due to having kids with us, we never used the Oasis pool area which is adults only. I would have liked to only to see if the hot tubs in that area were warmer than the lagoon area as it was not very hot. Our stay was only few days so we didn't have time to try the 4D theater or laser course but did play a few games at the arcade. The small issues that we encountered were similar to other complaints and mainly housekeeping related. Upon getting to our room we noticed there was no bedding for the sofa sleeper. Despite multiple calls to the front desk, no one ever arrived. The next day we noticed we only had 1 bath sized towel which also required an additional call. We did end up getting both the towels and bedding that 2nd day. Other complaint is there is only one small bathroom size garbage can which is in the bathroom. We did ask for extra bags which worked but would have been nice to have a larger can near the kitchenette area. My last issue is the extra fees which I was fully aware of at the time of booking but to have both a resort fee and an additional parking fee seems a bit excessive in my opinion but fees in Orlando are hard to avoid and the overall nightly rate was very affordable considering the room size, amenities and location. The location is very convenient, only minutes to Disney (could even see fireworks at night from our room) and located near several major freeways and International Drive. Our stay overall was nice and I would recommend this hotel to others looking for an affordable hotel with many great amenities.
Miles away from anything. There's nothing nearby to walk to you're limited to the hotel if you don't have transport. However if you have a car it's very well situated for driving to all parks. The bar is currently being refurbished! We have been to the entertainment but it's very limited to weekends and finished at 10, with an hour gap between two shows where you got kicked out and had to sit in the mall or go back to your room for an hour. We tried to go to the pool bar that's open later but as we have kids we got kicked out! Really not impressed and still have another week to go. The hotel is nice and clean and rooms are serviced daily, however some days it's amazing and other days very slapdash with things moved around that shouldn't be and things like empty cups not moved. I get prickly heat and so use a certain soap which for some reason was taken away in the first week even though the hotel soap half used bars that the other family members were using were left!! There are 6 of us in the room yet we're constantly left just 4 towels even though we've asked numerous times for 6. The complimentary coffee and paper cups replacement is hit and miss clearly depending on who cleans the room that day, we rang last night to request cups and coffee as none had been left and almost lunchtime the next day they still haven't materialised. To be honest all quite minor gripes but the bar being closed has been quite an issue. After long days trekking round parks after the kids once we get back to the hotel and no longer have to drive for the day the choice has been sit in a brightly lit takeaway style mall or to sit couped up in our room with a couple of beers! Clearly we could be doing that at home it's not my idea of holiday relaxation.Once the bar is reopen that issue will be resolved but it has impacted on the enjoyment of our holiday.
