Had a great experience @ the hotel/water park not Great Wolf Lodge but still it's great had good shopping @ the Florida Mall an the other Mini Outlets food was also well tasting great vacation spot for the Wife an Kids fellas 👍🏾
Stayed there for 3 nights for visit to Disney with husband and 3yr old. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Our suite was a little dated however was handy having separate sleeping area for parents and children after being cooped up in the same room for two days prior. There was intermittent hot water in the kitchenette so depending on the time of day would depend if you could do any washing up (as we were trying to avoid spending in the restaurants on site as it was a little pricey as seemed to be the nature of Orlando). The pool area was ok, very busy as it was Easter weekend and no where near enough loungers for the number of rooms. Hotel had signs of no sun bed reserving policy however wasn't enforced and there were numerous beds with towels on and no one using. Our room was on the 3rd floor right by the water park, which is open until late in the evening and has loud music until gone 10 at night, not ideal for those with small children! Overall it is a fairly good hotel, we were only there for the purposes of day at Disney so I think if we had stayed any longer we would have struggled. We likened it to a Butlins holiday camp minus the red coats.
The pictures of this hotel are great, what you get is not so great! The room was DIRTY..bathtub was black, vents have dust all over them, floor in washroom had hair and dirt on it. One pool was closed for renovation and was quite noisy. There was no do not disturb sign in the room so housekeeping would come in even though we did not wish to have it and wouldn't even replace the towels on some days! The pool bar is ridiculous to say the least...half an hour wait with only a few customers before you and one bartender. The coffee maker didn't work at all in the room. I would NOT recommend this hotel. There is a resort and parking fee right off the bat which cost close to $200....for what? A filthy hotel room?
While the rooms themselves were wonderful as far as layout, I was disappointed overall. We arrived Thursday evening, 4/13. My boys, 10 and 8 loved the kids room! We had no bath towels and it took me 3 phone calls to the front desk and a late knock on the door to get them. Friday, we hit the pool for a bit and my boys were disappointed - the "water park" area is quite crowded and rambunctious kids do not allow it to be enjoyable. We then tried the buffet, which was not crowded, but half of the food was empty and little choices. What we had was ok. Resort is a bid hard to navigate as well.Saturday, after a long trip to Universal, we returned about 11:30p to my key not working to get in the auto gate - I was let in without anyone asking any questions, so security is an issue. I then found a parking spot where there was a few men hanging out in the parking lot near the dumpster which left me uneasy. My room keep didn't work again. I tried calling the front desk to no answer, so back down to the car with the kids where one of the men was a security guard. He checked my ID, called the front desk to confirm and let me in my room (although came into the room with us which may me a bit uncomfortable). On all nights of the stay, our room was not cleaned. One day in the "master bedroom" our personal blankets were removed from the bed and tossed on the dresser but the bed never made.I may be spoiled by Disney resorts, but we will not be returning due to lack of customer service as the biggest complaint.
It took 45min to check in though I cam in at 8:15 pm on a Friday night. I was charged taxes/ parking and a resort fee on top of the taxes/resort fee I already paid on booking.com. I had to speak to management 2x to clear it up. The room Not clean! The pool was so packed that you couldn't barely put your arm out without hitting 10 other people. The pool doesn't open until 11 am which is check out time so my kids never really got to swim. The pool wasn't clean chlorine smell means it's not clean! I though maybe I'll take them SUnday before we leave as possibly the pool my only be at 855 percent capacity as opposed to 150%. It seems so over booked good luck not worth it!!!!!!!!!!!! WIFI terrible!
