Oak Plantation Resort
- What's Included
My family and I stayed here for 1 night. Upon check in we were told our room was ready, clean, but no toiletries or towels. They asked if we wanted to wait or were we ok with them bringing these things later. Mind you check-in according to our voucher was 3p when we arrived signs behind front desk stated 4p, it was 4:30p. We decided to go ahead and check in. I'm going to make a long story short, I travel with my own toiletries so I didnt worry about that, but we did not receive towels until 10p. The pool was roped off and the hot tub was not hot. The breakfast buffet ($7.95) was the best thing about this place. I don't know about staying here again
We booked our 4 day/3 night stay at this resort on a whim based on the recommendation of friends who've previously stayed there and were also booked for the same weekend as us. We wanted to be close to them in order to carpool to the parks, etc. We arrived very late at night and we're greeted by Jessica & Cynthia. I believe are their names. They have been the most friendliest and helpful front desk attendants we've EVER encountered. They were able to accommodate us AND our friends who weren't checked in yet onto the same building. Our room was an adorable upgraded one bedroom apartment. It has very cute country, shabby-chic decorations and I could've lived in there. The grounds are well maintained. There were peacocks roaming throughout. We will definitely be staying here upon our next visit to the Kissimmee/Orlando area. Thank you so much #CF and #JE for your hospitality and for going above and beyond. You ladies are amazing!
I made my booking at this resort through Priceline weeks ago. When we arrived, exhausted after a long day of work and travel from Michigan, we were told that they had no rooms available. I showed them our booking, and they told me to call Priceline to book another hotel. Meanwhile, other people were coming to the front desk for check in, and were being accepted. That is completely ridiculous. Don't accept bookings if you have no room. The very least they could have done is call us ahead of time so that we could have made other arrangements. Instead, they wait until we are in their facility, and then try to shift the blame onto another company (who were not able to offer us another place at our price point, since almost everything was booked up by that time of night.) Had to spend two hours to find a different place with vacancy because of their poor service and communication.
We booked this resort in january for a 5 night stay prior to a cruise. On arrival the hotel looks like it has a lot of potential , however areas are starting to get run down. We arrived to our room and it was awful. It was smelly, the bedding was ripped and the disheasher had leaked all over the floor. I immediately went to the front desk and explained my concerns. Jessica at the front desk was more than accomadating. She found us a more updated room which was perfect for the 3 of us. It was clean and everything in working order. We did not participate in the breakfast so I can not comment. The pool area was ok, but one of the pools was down for maintenace. We did not ever see anyone working on the pool which was disappointing. The house keeping staff was very fast and efficient. when we needed towels etc. the were there very quickly. Now realizing it was off season and post hurricane , this place was pretty empty. The gym was just ok. The treadmills and elliptical were good, but the weight machine was not in working order. So for people that enjoy a pre excursion day workout this was also disappointing. As I said this place could be happening. A little paint, and clean up the property could be amazing. Power wash the buildings, weed the pool area , clean out the gutters etc. so would we stay here again? Yes we would but in an upgraded room. Staff was awesome.
This was our first trip to Florida and finding comfortable and convenient accommodations was very important to us for our 9 night stay. After much searching, we decided on the Oak Plantation Resort in Kissimmee and it was everything we had hoped for!My communications with the Resort, specifically Tania, were very informative and courteous. My emails were answered in a very prompt and efficient manner. We had asked for a renovated room and was provided with room 109 which faced the pools (as a matter of fact we were given the option of looking at a couple of rooms before we chose the one we stayed in - I believe it was Jessica who greeted us and was very accommodating). It was very clean and roomy with all major appliances and lived up to our expectations. The bed was clean and comfortable and our Unit was cleaned and restocked daily. We had plenty of closet space with a safe in the bedroom closet. Our unit had one large bedroom with a TV (loads of channels), dining room, living room (with a pullout couch and another TV), laundry room, two closets and kitchen with a bar and stools and a dishwasher! All cookware, dishes and utensils were provided and saved us money on eating out! We did try their buffet breakfast which was absolutely delicious. Lots to eat! The resort provides a central laundry facility as well as units with a washer and dryer. Our unit had these appliances which were so convenient. The staff were always very pleasant and efficient. Anything that we needed for our Unit was provided within minutes upon request! The location of the Resort was perfect. It was Ideal for us to travel about for shopping and sightseeing - there was even a mall just across the street from us - so convenient! We were minutes from department and specialty stores, supermarkets, restaurants, gas stations, flea markets and Old Town which we loved! The pool deck was always cleaned every morning and there were lots of chairs for lounging. We swam in the pool every night, enjoyed a drink at the Tiki bar poolside, and relaxed in the hot tub!We could not have been more pleased with our stay and would most definitely stay there again. Thanks to the wonderful staff for making our first trip to Florida the best!
