So a lot of people are saying that this hotel sucks and they complains a lot about it, but my husband and I had a good experience :) Yes, the buildings are old and they are not like luxury hotel at all. Maybe just better and bigger version of motel level hotel, to be honest. But you'll get a two story room!!(seems like they used to be an apt) They have really basic kitchen stuff too. My advice is if you are picky about hotel, don't stay at this hotel!! If you wanna stay nice hotel, just pay a little more and stay somewhere else. But if you are like me and not picky like "oh well" kind of attitude person, this place would be great! Staff at hotel were nice and friendly. The lady working at Tiki bar(tiny bar at pool) was nice and friendly too. When we entered our room, the room kinda smelled weird, but I sprayed the room with scent spray and problem solved!! Just far from theme parks, so if you aren't going to drive, stay somewhere close to them. We used Uber and Lyft to go all the theme parks and it just takes extra time and money. But it close to some restaurants, Walmart, mini golf and stuff, so it's kinda nice location too actually. I can understand that some people complain about this place, but I feel like some of them are complaining a little too much. Anyway, if you are expecting wonderful place or great place, this is not for you. I think this hotel is nothing wonderful but decent. I don't mind to stay here again.
Make sure everything is on placed correctly. Toilet holder was broken when we arrived. Tv controlers barely worked overall it was okay for our stay. Everything like little stores are close by. Really quiet and peaceful. I had paid one week of breakfast and they only serve scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, potatoes, bacon everyday.
I wish I had seen the reviews first because all the bad reviews are spot on. The only good thing about the place is we were not here much. The room smelled, the carpet was filthy don't go without shoes. There was black mold on the walls near the ceiling in the bathroom. The linens were old and dingy and did not fit the beds. Full renovation is needed badly for anyone to stay here.
Check in was easy. Our room was in bldg 4 on the second floor facing the parking lot. First impression was not good. Broken lamp shade, light out at bottom of stairs, broken bath room door handle, TV did not work and the A/C filter broken. However, within 30 minutes maintenance fixed everything. Afterwards our stay was good. Special treat are the Peacocks that roam the property. We used the pool every day and enjoyed the poolside bar. But the hot tub was closed.
If you really want to stay in a healthy, clean, nice place, run because this is not the place. I came on October to pass a nice vacations there and was awful!!The only nice thing of this place is the people that receive you at the front desk, but the rest is unbelievable. The carpets had spots every were, we didn't know what happen in there before. One rooms smells like an ashtray. The bathroom was like a deposit of rusty furnitures. We had two visitors not invited at all: cockroaches. One at the bathroom and one at the kitchen. I read opinions here of people calling this place great place to stay, and please don't believe them!! I went Oct 2016 and that's is not True!Hope that I can help some one from a very bad experience trip.
