Golf at Hawk's Landing

Outstanding...the course is in great shape! The tee boxes are well manicured, the fairways are nice, the sand traps are in excellent shape, and the greens perfect (no bumps and ball rolls true).Suzanne runs the beverage cart and is a true pleasure...she makes the rounds quickly and always has what you need...from beverages and snacks to cigars, she keeps you well stocked for your game.I will be back! ☺

Bring Your Walking Shoes

This place is huge! But the service is outstanding. The accommodations are very nice and the pool areas are beautiful. All of the restaurants have great food. One suggestion I would give is more directional signage. It can get a bit overwhelming.

Very nice and I want to go back

I was here on business for a conf. This place has everything except a lazy river!The service is top of the line. It is very big. The rooms are clean and done well. I do admit the toilet and shower area was a little tight but still nice. I was in a king suite overlooking the falls pool. Nice view and great light show each night. The workout room was very nice and lots of room. I will go back again for sure

Could have been much better.

I was here for a week on business. I was disappointed in some aspects, but pleased by others. First off, this hotel looks really great. The grounds are nice and clean. They have a lot of nice amenities. The fitness center is nice and big with more equipment than your usual hotel fitness centers. The pool is great for kids with trails, slides, and a splash pad. The concierge was very helpful as was the front desk. Now for the bad. The hotel is entirely too big. It is very easy to get turned around and lost in the many corridors. It would take me a 1/4 mile walk to get from my room to the fitness center. There is nothing within walking distance, plus no sidewalks even if you wanted to. The resort has a 6 restaurants, but only a couple open at a time, except for dinner when 4 are open. One of the restaurants ran my card for triple my bill.When I opened the door to my room, a strong musty smell greeted me. My nose quickly got used to the smell. The rooms were outdated with old, peeling, bubbling paint on the walls. The beds were very hard and uncomfortable, not like the standard Marriott beds.Housekeeping tried to enter my room twice even though I had the 'privacy please' sign as well as a special placard to decline housekeeping.There was a plunger in the bathroom, which is never a good sign. The plumbing had problems. It took 2-3 flushes to get a clean bowl, no matter what was in it. The water pressure fluctuated wildly. It would go from almost painful to barely a trickle. When the toilet was flushed a loud gurgling sound came from the sink. The shower head was too big for the shower and sprayed water everywhere. The conference facilities and food service was great. Overall, I would return.

Big property but not impressed with the room

We are gold level members of Marriott. We were there for a convention so the chose of rooms was limited. We did get a high floor with pool view with balcony which was nice. It was really humid and it was right before the big hurricane so hard to sit out on patio. The pool area was huge and we were able to find seats easily. They offer free cold bottled water which was great. Had a drink by restaurant which was good. They have TV screens and show football games on Sundays - happy wife happy husband. The rooms however are just okay, not a clean, worn carpet. We arrived to the room and outside the door was a glass. It was there for 3 days before someone finally picked it up plus they were offering marriott points if you didnt want your room clean. I found that odd but maybe they were limited with crew. The hotel has food, spa which was just okay - which we used and a Starbucks right in the lobby which we used often. Overall a good stay but not what I usually expect from a Marriott.
