2 Week Stay

If you are looking through the reviews of this hotel you can get a bit worried so this review is based on our experience from our 2 week stay in the Ramada. We arrived around 8:00pm tired after our 19 hour journey and as we were entering the hotel I was a little concerned as to what to expect given some of the reviews as we knew we where in the motel part of the hotel but deep breath and approached the reception desk, the young girl behind the desk was very pleasant and cheerful, we gave our booking reference over and we were told that the hotel was over booked in the motel part so they had moved/upgraded us into the deluxe rooms free of charge for the 2 weeks well to say that was a nice surprise is an understatement so thank you very much for that.Rooms are big with 2 big beds and very comfortable we all slept great every night, a big TV, 6 massive drawers, table and 2 chairs, around the corner is a little kitchen area with Microwave and normal sized fridge and sink, you go through this to get to the bathroom which has toilet, small bath with shower which had good water pressure, lots of towels, everything was clean, yes the rooms could do with a little updating but nothing to complain about.House keeping seems to come in for a lot of criticism, for us the room was done everyday of our 2 week stay, beds made, clean towels, bathroom/kitchen cleaned, given that our room looked like a clothes bomb had gone off everyday poor cleaner must have have just closed there eyes entering our room so absolutely no issues with cleaning staff at all, I am not saying the reviews are wrong this is just our experience.Used the on-site restaurant on our first night and it was actually very good had burgers which were really nice and our waiter was really nice and could not do enough for us, I would have gone back again but the wife likes to go out to dinner, did the buffet breakfast once as well and again good choice and eggs cooked to order so I was happy enough but not being a breakfast person and my 8 year old son being the same we used to go to IHop across from the hotel most mornings as my wife loves there pancakes, we had pizza from the on-site deli one evening my son liked it but the wife and I didn't dough was sweet but as a lot of reviews love the pizza so I say that this is a personnel taste and not a criticism of the deli as it has a good selection and lots of people used it.My son loved the pool couldn't get him out of it plenty towels, seats, clean, nice and refreshing after a day in the parks.Location is good as stated the Disney parks are 10 mins away, please note though this is Kissimmee so you really need to hire a car as there are some restaurants and shops around but the best ones are further up the road not in walking distance so do yourself a favour and take the extra cost and get a car as it makes such a massive difference to the holidaySo from all of us thank you for a great stay we had the best holiday ever and the hotel played a big part in that and when we return we will definitely use this hotel again.

Week long

We stayed here from Sun to Saturday for <500. There's a bar, restaurant and deli. The service isn't great but the food is. The. Bathroom wasn't the cleanest but the beds were comfortable. There's a walmart being built behind the hotel and a grocery in walking distance. I would recommend for the budget. For 4 people it works.

Beware, horrible customer service

First of all we reserved a king bed w/ sofa at the Towers i get there and they tell me the Towers aren't pet friendly, i said it says right in the booking.com details you were pet friendly, they reduced my rate to the crappy other side (older part of the hotel) for about 50 bucks less for the whole stay (which was from Friday to Monday morning) With that being said i will never book at this hotel again!!!!!!!!!!

get what you pay for

rooms could do with a face lift, Staff are nice.Couple of times had to see them about the room not being serviced right but sorted it very quickly for us. The shuttle times could do with being better to sea world.

Good hotel very close to disney

I booked flights and hotel through BA 10 nights from the 23rd may for 680pp great price I thought then read reviews, I was then a bit worried! Check in was easy friendly staff and quick. We had a room.in the motel part of the hotel and we were at the very end of the complex (this is a big complex) room over looking car park and the building works for new walmart. I did realise that a car park view was something to expect especially as we never took the upgrade offered by BA to a garden or pool room. I will just confirm that the cars are right outside the room with a small footpath seperating this from room, we didnt have a car but plenty of spaces and apart from the beep beep that the cars make when opening and locking doors we had no issue with this. For us this was a holiday for getting up early and hitting the parks so the walmart buildings works that started on some mornings 7am was not a problem and they were gone by the time we we re back normally 4pm and once this is open it will be a great plus for this hotel as most of the little supermarkets within walking distance were extremely exspensive (cheapest place within walking distance was actually the 7/11 petrol station opposite)Ok so back to the room I was dreading! On first entering I was very surprised how large the rooms are 2 queen sized beds small table and chairs and a little fridge on the floor that could hold about 12 bottles of small water which is all that we needed it for, our room was clean and yes I did even check under the bed! It is true that you can tell the room hasnt had a refit in a while but I wasnt expecting it to be brand new. Small bath and shower with different settings that worked perfect. The bathroom had a small coffee machine with very good coffee supplied and replenished when used and an ironing board/iron. Hanging space is limited but plenty of drawers. We were near the unheated pool which we stayed by for a couple of days during our stay, this was never busy! On such a large complex I was surprised that it never seemed like anyone was around. When other guests were at the pool everyone was very friendly and we saw staff every morning of our stay cleaning the pool putting out free towels to use.We ordered pizzas and wings from the on site restaurant a few times good price and very tasty and really friendly staff. As we didnt have a car we walked out to a few restaurants which if you are up for a 5/10 min walk their is plenty of choice and we also really enjoyed the ponderosa 5mins away for a good all you can eat breakfast $10 including coffee and the fresh fruit was great.Shuttle bus service runs at strange times but we did use a few times as cabs did get a bit exspensive. After a power cut caused by a hungry racoon eating through a power cable! Our fridge stopped working, we reported this just before going out one morning and on our return all fixed.I can only assume that the unclean rooms could be down to the cleaner, we were very lucky our cleaner introduced herself on our first morning and was very proud of her job and wanted to make herself known to us. When ever I saw her she always asked if everything was ok and she had many rooms to clean. She even went out of her way to find me when my son was feeling unwell to offer extra towels and what medication to buy, above and beyond what I would expect.Would I recommend this hotel......yesWould I stay again.......YESAs a uk traveler dont be put off from the reviews.
