If I could give negative stars I would

I booked through Priceline for a king suite. When I arrived every suite and every king room in the tower was sold out. The front desk grabbed what Priceline sent them. Priceline sent them the wrong room type. Okay Priceline' mistake. But what I didn't like is the attitude that it wasn't their problem. It is still their problem. I am still a guest in the hotel staying in a room I didn't book. Best part what I paid for was more expensive. Did they offer anything. Nope! Then Priceline has been no help. Plus Priceline said that once I showed them the phone confirmation the hotel had All authority to refund at least the difference. Worse yet the hotel is not cooperating with Priceline. So here I am weeks later still having been charge for a suite when it was just a double room. Luckily for me my credit card has my back because I never received what I paid for and the hotel mad expensive no effort. Luckily I have all the proof I need to work it out so that my credit card protection but what an awful hotel. I love the fact I pro proved was in the wrong room and they are trying to keep the higher room rate. I also am making a call to corporate. My room was also terrible. Everything was old, dirty, and broken. I wouldn't even sit on the chairs because of stains and the shower head looked like a health hazard. Plus you could headband everything through the walls. I was there because of an event but if I didn't have to stay I wouldn't and hope I never have to again. Plus at the pool you have to deal with large parties bringing coolers of food alcohol and cigarettes taking over the whole pool and it is not child friendly in atmosphere at all.

Hurricane Irma

We live in mobile home so needed to evacuate to a safe place. We had pets with us so we were on 1st floor in older section, but it was very safe & we were happy with it all until the power went out due to the storm. In the morning, the hotel gave us free breakfast, then we checked out to go home. Our home was ok, no major damage so we were very relieved.

Ramada gateway

We stayed at the Ramada gateway once before 3 years ago. It hasn't changed one bit. We stayed while hurricane Irma ripped through the place. The manager Andy Schiavone and his staff were excellent they stayed while the hurricane hit. Which anyone with any kind of respect greatly appreciated. We were given emergency lights and asked if we were ok for food and water. Their restaurant and deli stayed open as long as possible. A shining example in a dangerous situation.

Hurricane Irma

Although the hotel rooms are in need of some serious updates, we we're safe from the hurricane. The staff and the GM, Andy, we're all very accommodating. We had lost power and they were making urns of coffee and serving breakfast. The atrium was a great gathering place to talk, play games, listen to someone playing his guitar. They even showed movies. The pools are great and the area is convenient to anything and everything. Hopefully they will bring the rooms up to a better standard but otherwise, hurricane and all we enjoyed our 4 day stay with friends and most importantly, we were all safe.

Won a trip.

I won the trip to Orlando for amusement parks and hotel. I choose this hotel and appears nice place. First arrived the hotel and front desk are nice to communicate with me in writing because I'm deaf. Stayed for 4 nights from September 6-10. Went to universal studios on Thursday and had great time. Nice restaurant and good breakfast buffet. When hurricane Irma gets closer and I decided to checkout a day early and got refund taxes. (Actually it is free 4 nights but just pay taxes and fees). Housekeeper does good jobs.
