Residence Inn Orlando at SeaWorld
- What's Included
We love this hotel. We have visited 3 years consecutively. On arrival we were so tired from delays and it was late at night. We were greeted by Micheal behind the desk who was so welcoming, he gave us a free bottle of water and quickly checked us in. Micheal switched our room to a newly renovated suite which didn't disappoint. He was kind, took interest in our holiday and wished us a happy anniversary. The room was large, newly decorated, spacious, with everything brand new. The kitchen was fully stocked with utensils and fridge/freezer oven and microwave. Everything we would need/ask for.A couple of days into our stay Hurricane Irma was announced. The staff were so helpful and informative. There was a print out given to all guests about what to do when it came and what provisions the hotel would provide. I suffer from severe food intolerances and Taylor (one of the supervisors) and the Chef were so helpful in providing me with food throughout the Hurricane. Taylor even went out prior to the curfew to buy me bread to eat over the weekend. I would also like to acknowledge Lul (one of the managers), she was calm and really informative. She settled our nerves a few times with regards to the Hurricane and gave us vital information on what to do/expect.We lost power at 11.40pm on the Saturday night and it didn't come back on until Tuesday 07.45am. That was a long few days with an enforced police curfew and no power/air con. It was a tough, warm few days, especially having to treck up 6 floors up the fire escape. Only one criticism, I think the Marriott need to consider investing in a back up generator! That aside, the staff also trecked the stairs, worked endless hours, and still remained positive and friendly throughout. The food provided over the curfew was exceptional. The hotel provided it all at cost and made sure everyone had fresh water and plenty filling food. In summery, this hotel has phenomenal staff, from the friendly cleaners up to its managers, its new rooms are impressive and the pool area is immaculate. It's 20 minutes from all of the attractions and seems to attract more local holiday makers and business confrences, so there's not a lot of drunk tourists around the pool. I wish I remembered everyone names who we dealt with whilst we were away so we could acknowledge them all! A well recommended hotel, with excellent value for money!
We had a trip planned before the recent Hurricane . We checked and Hotel was up and going . We are here and you can't tell anything occurred. Hotel is pet friendly which is not a problem for us. Free breakfast is typical hotel food.
When planning our vacation, we knew we wanted to stay close to SeaWorld and decided to give the Residence Inn a try. Our room had two bedrooms, two bathrooms a living room and a kitchen. One bedroom had a queen size bed and its own bathroom. The other bedroom had two queen size beds and they both had their own TV. The beds were comfortable and had plenty of pillows and blankets. I didn't care for the soaps or shampoo that the hotel provides. Thankfully I brought my own, so it wasn't a problem. The kitchen was a huge plus. It helped keep cost down of food and drinks since it had a full size refrigerator, microwave and stove. There was also plates, glasses, pots and pans. Each morning they had a complementary breakfast. There was always eggs, cereal, fresh fruit, yogurt, toast, waffles and bagels. They also had ham, sausage, cinnamon rolls, croissants, hash and potatoes, but not every day. The potatoes were my favorite. They also have juice, coffee and milk to drink. There was plenty of seating or you can take your food back to your room, whichever you prefer. The location of the hotel was perfect for going to SeaWorld as well as Disney. They have buses to take you to the different parks and run on a strict schedule and will leave you behind if you aren't there on time. The hotel also has a beautiful pool, laundry room, small gift shop and gym. It is $2 dollars for a load of laundry and another $2 dollars to use the dryer. When I start planning our next vacation to Florida, I will defiantly be making reservation here again.
We have stayed here before- last time got an upgrade to a 2 bed suite- this time had to stick with a one bed but this is more than big enough for 4. There are two double beds in the bedroom and a sofa bed in the living room. Nice kitchen with microwave and decent sized fridge and freezer. Rooms were kept clean throughout our stay- so top marks housekeeping. We love the pool area and at night the pool has lighting so even better and not crowded. Decent little pool bar as well. The inclusive breakfast is good to set you up on your day - in truth it was not as good as four years ago but still does the job.Free transport to seaworld / aquatics good even if you have a car as saves you paying the parking fees.Close to the i4 so a quick journey to all Disney attractions.Did have some Building work next door which started about 8am but as early risers did not bother us.The fact you can cook your own meals can save you a lot of money.Would recommend a room at the side furtherest away from the i4 as have seen comments about the rooms near to it being noisy. We have had no problem both times staying at the far away rooms. All in all pleasant stay.
We were here in August 2015 after a cruise and we did it again August 2017. I like the convenience of the location to the parks, the rooms are spacious, and the breakfast is good. The night time manager Mike Schamerhorn made our stay a great one, above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, he was a pleasure to speak with. The operations manager Carolyn was another pleasant person to deal with, she would come by to the breakfast tables and ask if everything was ok she would greet people and find out if we had everything we needed, she was picking up after people and doing her best to keep it clean, the staff in the breakfast room worked very hard to keep it clean, the maid staff was also great, left us plenty of towels and kept our room nice and clean. I find that the some of the people who come to the hotel are rude and ruthless, they don't move over to let you pass and bum rush you. All of your employees are very valuable and do a great job, Thanks again, we will be back again.
