Residence Inn Orlando at SeaWorld
- What's Included
Our family stayed here for one night while we waited for a resort home to be ready. We actually reserved 2 rooms, one for me and my wife, and one for our son and his wife. We were given connecting rooms which was great. The newly renovated rooms were very well done and very comfortable. There was still some work being done on the main floor, but it was very easy to move around to get back and forth to breakfast. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again!
I would not even give this hotel a star at all. And upon arrival of this hotel and we had told him we were going over to see world that is reason we were staying here they sent us into the park behind the cashier was very rude. People at the front desk did not speak English very well and did not care about giving us are lanyards for the park. After spending a short time at sea world and returning to the hotel to check in there was no hot water went to bed woke up TV kept going off still no hot water. First drivers are constantly begging for tips. Hospitality at this hotel is very bad The only people that are good workers at this hotel or the maid service I would not recommend this hotel especially considering that there is no elevator access from the center lobby which they make you walk around the whole parking lot in the whole building to write an elevator up to your room that’s right about the lobby
We stayed for 6 nights while visiting Discovery Cove, Sea World and Aquatica in late October. We picked the hotel because of the pool, the breakfast, larger rooms and the Sea World affiliation and were not disappointed on any of those points. The shuttle service was not as frequent as we had hoped, so after a day and a half we ended up buying a parking pass to the parks so we could have the convenience of coming and going on our own schedule with our rental car (free parking at the hotel!). But if you were going to just go to one park per day, I think it would have been sufficient. We used the Quick Que passes for Sea World every day (free from the travel desk in the lobby). Even though Sea World was not busy this time of year, it was a fun perk to have the passes. The breakfast was the typical Residence Inn food, not great, but included...so saves lots of money and super convenient! I would have preferred more fresh/light options, but my husband and sons liked the eggs, waffles and meat varieties offered daily. They did have yogurt and canned fruit but those were the same choices every day. The pool was large and heated and it had a resort-y feel. Which is so much nicer than those small rectangle pools that are squeezed into a tiny courtyard behind a high rise. We were so busy with the parks during our stay we didn't get to enjoy it as much as we would have liked. A definite perk to this hotel though! The room was spacious, beds comfortable, everything appeared clean and was in working order. We did not cook in our room, but used the fridge for snacks and water. Plus having the kitchen is just nice because it seems to add a little extra room to set our things out and we like the extra sink (we were in a one bedroom family suite). Overall we had a good experience and would recommend staying here if going to the Sea World parks. We did not have any issues with our room and did not interact with the staff a whole lot, but they all seemed friendly and courteous. The Expedia travel desk had helpful employees (most of the time) and we went there for questions and maps, etc.frequently.One thing to add which was a bit disappointing, but really no fault of this particular hotel or staff: They were undergoing renovations and even though I was on the Marriott site to make reservations and called the toll free number as well as the hotel directly no one mentioned the construction until we checked in. It did not bother us much but made it inconvenient as the elevator was out of service off and on and the main floor corridor was closed so it required extra walking (stairs) every time we went to the lobby/pool/breakfast area from our room. It just would have been nice to know ahead of time that this was being done prior to our checking in.
They are going through construction renovating the lower floors. The new rooms are wonderful after renovation. Ask for a renovated room! The staff is wonderful. Lots of free parking. Breakfast is good. Lots of laundry washers and dryers. Three downsides to be aware of. Housekeeping staff is hit and miss on proficiency, they keep stray cats by the hottub and bar restaurant, and they have not been able to keep out loud solicitors who slide food flyers under the doors each night. The new rooms, parking, and central location are the benefits.
Nice hotel, my 2-room suite was newly renovated and very nice. Walking distance to sea world and some restaurants but off the main roads a bit which made it nice and quiet. Breakfast buffet was just OK.
