Residence Inn Orlando at SeaWorld
- What's Included
We recently stayed at Residence Inn as we left the Disney Resort area and spent time at the Universal parks with our children. The hotel staff were very friendly, courteous and accommodating. The hotel is located in an ideal location in close proximity to all of the parks. The hotel room was very clean and spacious; the pool was also clean and refreshing. It's a great location with easy access to plenty of restaurants and local attractions. Great value!
In short, the hotel was clean, staff was friendly, breakfast was good, pool area was nice, and a sea world concierge in the lobby. Beware of whining dogs since this is a pet friendly hotel. My only complaint is the couch in the living room was really uncomfortable and a terrible design (high arm rest on one side, no arm rest on the other). Both me and my dad commented to each other how uncomfortable it was. But the beds were comfortable!
We planned our Orlando vacation early and got an excellent deal one a one-bedroom suite. As we┬┤ve stayed here four times before we knew what to expect. Luckily not much has changed and breakfast has even improved a lot since our last stay.Location is excellent just off I-4 near SeaWorld and all the attractions. We always liked the the property stood a bit on its own and although condos are being built now between the hotel and the highway, the pool area and the garden still lies kinda quite.Got a heartly welcome at the front desk and got my room request facing the pool granted for the two weeks stay. The room on the third floor was well kept although the furniture is getting old as well as the hallways. But everything was very clean and the room smelled fresh when we entered on arrival. Housekeeping did an excellent job for the whole stay (had a worse experience here on an earlier stay) and fresh towels were there all the time.Breakfast improved a lot since our last stay. They had new kinds of Joghurt and other fresh stuff as well as Nutella. Yummy! In the evenings there┬┤s a small bar and restaurant to eat on property. We love the garden and pool at the Residence. Always relaxing to hang out there. We had an excellent time at the Residence Inn and would definitely return for another stay.
We had two rooms for 3 adults and 1 child over during Easter break for my niece's first trip outside of her home in Pennsylvania. I wish I could recall the gentleman's name who helped us, who offered to upgrade one of our rooms. When I told him it was my niece's first trip, he spent extra time looking for room availability and gave my niece and my sister an upgraded room with a separate bedroom on the top floor overlooking the pool, which was very kind of him. The hotel staff throughout our visit were very accommodating, the breakfast staff were prompt at keeping items supplied, and the rooms were always well cleaned. The hotel has an Expedia desk and I owe a special note of gratitude to them for keeping me in good standing with my niece. She wanted to do a special tour at Sea World to interact with penguins but the tours were all booked in their system. The Expedia representative called Sea World and they were able to fit us in for the tour. The pool was a bit crowded when we were there but we were there during Easter break so it was expected. However the pool is very nice and clean and the poolside restaurant was very convenient for a quick snack. The breakfast food items were of good quality and, despite it being very busy, were well stocked. I never did see fruit available but loved the yogurt with toppings options. The items seem to vary each day (different meats and different pastries) but consistently we were able to chose from waffles, cereal, scrabbled eggs, potatoes, as well as bread, bagels and muffins. The only thing I would recommend for the breakfast is offering recycling. Utensils, plates and cups are all single use and the plastic could easily be recycled. The hotel was very convenient for us since we visited Universal Studios, Disney and Sea World and didn't have to drive more than 15 minutes in any direction. CVS was very close and walkable there is also a Walmart a few minutes away by car as well. There are not a lot of entertainment or restaurant options within walking distance but I would imagine that will change in time as this area seems to be under development.
Decided to take a last minute trip to Orlando from Fort Lauderdale. Drove up Saturday night, and the room was comfortable and clean. You can't beat a free breakfast for a family of 4 with picky eating kids. The team members were friendly and helpful, and there was more than enough options for breakfast. Would definitely stay there again.
