We have just come from from staying here from 15th-29th November. We stayed at the Rosen Inn at pointe last year we came and was hoping to stay there again as it was ideal however it was sold out through Virgin Holidays so we settled for this hotel instead. We got checked in as soon as we arrived and were on the 4th floor, we had emailed ahead and asked not to be on the ground floor. Our room was lovely, two super comfy double beds (only needed one but was nice sleeping apart and having all the room for a change!) a large TV with 135 channels, coffee maker, table, plenty of plugs sockets, fridge and a small but super clean bathroom, I think that we were given one of the newly refurbished rooms in the main building. Everything was perfect and just what we needed for a base to do the parks. We used the free shuttle to universal, bought a 14 day itrolley pass which I think is a must, we didn't use the $20 a head Disney shuttle like we did last year and used Uber instead which we had no problems with and saved a bit of money to. Staff we really friendly around the hotel and in the shop and the restaurant where we had breakfast twice. Would definitely use this hotel again, I did prefer the location of the at pointe hotel but I preferred our room in the one. Will be back in Orlando hopefully soon and we will 100% be using a Rosen hotel.
Arrived mid afternoon, very easy to find with plenty of free parking. We had a room off the main building in a low rise annex, looked like a cheap run down motel, very disappointed as wanted to be in main building. The rooms were damp, dark and noisy. We felt unsafe as the security seemed inadequate and the block was noisy with a lack of privacy. In the time we were there no bed sheets were changed and the beds felt damp. The rooms were old dated and very dark. Would not recommend.... Sorry
Stayed in this hotel during our holiday in orlando from 4-18th nov 2016. There was 6 of us - myself, my 5year old son, my dad, 10year old sister, dads fianceé and her 16year old daughter. Very enjoyable stay although we thought intially it was going to be a disaster as there are 3 rosen inn hotels on i-drive and think this hotel is the smallest of the 3. First opinions was that it was small and didnt appear to have as much to it as the bigger one closest to the largest mcdonalds on i-drive. Reception staff were very pleasant and checked us in immediately. Rooms were spacious, clean and tidy and plenty towels. Only downfall is that the windows do not open. You dont have a balcony as such but the style of the windows is that they look like once they opened and have now been jammed shut. You have air con and there is no charge for this. Recommend to keep this on, even through the night. I thought this would keep me awake and switched it off only to wake up to a stuffy room and blocked nose a week into holiday. From then on it was on through night and slept fine. Beds very comfortable. Also you have a safe in room which is free, but you must leave it unlocked on checkout. Very handy! Rooms cleaned everyday and always fresh towels given - and plenty of them. You have coffee facilities (no tea?! :/ i do enjoy a tea but the coffee was fine) and a mr.coffee coffee machine which is easy to use. A few times after my room was cleaned the cleaners sometimes either forgot to give me coffee sachets or cups so sometimes i had to go without until next cleaning day, but plenty shops nearby to stock up your room. You also have a small mini fridge which is also handy!! Id recommend if you want to stock up and have car hire then visit walmart - very good priced and was great to buy multipacks of crisps & sweets and bottled water for theme park days - food and drink at parks are ridiculously priced ($13 for a hotdog, i paid $16 for 2 packets of crisps and bottle of water :O) also if you are goingto florida with small children walmart sell a very basic but sturdy and handy pushchair for $14 - done the trick for my 5year old as park days = very long tiring day and grumpy child! There is a walmart at a crossroads from sand lake road in same direction headed for florida mall! Another recommended visit👌🏼. Room has TV with 130odd channels mostly in english - i watched mainly hallmark channel and disney jnr/nick jnr channels for my boy. Hotel has a restuarant which serves buffet breakfast - it was good and staff brilliant but not as much choice as ponderosa which is just across the road from hotel. Top notch for breaky in the morning :) there is also a japenese steak house in hotel which we didnt use but looked good, a game room (which only uses tokens and token machine in room also), a lounge and bar which wasnt too badly priced and a gym which my dad used and said was quite good. Pool area quite small for the size of the hotel, but was quite quiet while we were there :) sun is there from 8am until 4pm as disappears behind the smallest apartment block of the hotel. Free towel service by the poolside which is excellent! Only downfall of the pool is there is no baby pool so not the most ideal for those with younger children. My son had to constantly have his arm bands on as learning to swim but not quite there. Smallest depth is just under 4ft and deep end is 9ft. Hotel also has a gift shop which also stocks food, drinks and medical needs which was ideal as i ended up with a joyful coldsore!!! :( :( in reception area there is internet access (charged minimal $1.50 for 15mins - pricey!) but free wifi throughout hotel (even in your room and i was level 4). To round off ideal hotel, ideal location, plenty around, staff excellent so would definately return to this hotel if ever came back to florida - absolutely loved it!!!
This was a very nice spot to stay for my trip to Universal Studios. It is close to the park, about a 5 minute drive. The rooms are well thought out with fridge, microwave, a large safe that fits laptops, and deep drawers. The bathroom is a bit cramped, but it is nicely done. I was impressed to find that the hotel was gated with security, so I felt safer leaving my car parked onsite all week. The A/C was a bit of an issue, it went from super cold to warm without us changing the setting. The only other issue is to not leave anything behind. My fault for not thoroughly checking the room. When I realized I left items behind just hours later I was told that they automatically throw out items in certain categories...so I lost about $15 of non-disposable items. I would stay here again. The staff was very nice and helpful in all areas. There is also on-site laundry which was helpful, $6 to wash and dry.
We've been coming to this hotel for a few years now.It is improving year on year and is ideal for us as a group of golfers. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable, the staff are always helpful and quick to assist with any queries we had.Special mention to Douglas in the bar, as keeping 12 thirsty golfers satisfied does take hard work
