We had cycled along the Elbe shoreline path and crossed over to the other side. We were not properly dressed like the existing clients. However we were not the only cyclist there. Apart from a few nice girls who were junior staff, service was poor. There was a wedding on but other staff had that in hand but we were left with people who didn't care. My future son in law ordered an "Irish Coffee" which was not up to standard at all. Irish Coffee is best served in Irish establishments at home. Won't trouble them again. Shame really as the food looked nice and ice creams to die for.
We spent 2 weeks at the Rosen Inn. We picked this one due to it's proximity to Universal. We had no problems with the room or the stay at all. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The air conditioning was welcome and easy to adjust . That's a real bonus as sometimes it can take you forever to figure out how it works at some hotels! Rooms were cleaned daily and the towels always changed. If we had one small criticism it would be that bigger bath towels would be better. The hotel has a free shuttle to Universal but not to Disney. Disney shuttle was possible but expensive. We used the i ride trolley to stop 27 and picked up a Lynx bus (50) which takes you directly to Magic Kingdom. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. The bar was okay too. Bar man(Ben) always had a smile on his face and seemed a genuinely nice guy. We also ate at the Shogun which is at the hotel. This was a brilliant evening where the chef(Roland) not only cooks up a great meal but entertains you while he cooks it. To summarise it was a good hotel with comfortable rooms , nice staff and a good location. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend it and if we come back to Orlando in the future we would stay here again.
Myself, my husband and 2 kids stayed here for 2 weeks. Its very well situated on international drive just at stop 7 for the i ride trolley. The hotel is clean and has a lovely pool area. The rooms were cleaned daily and I have to say the house keeping staff are amazing and so friendly. The buffet breakfast is definatley a must to set you up for the day, at around $9 all in it has a great selection and I would recommend especially if your heading to a park for the day as eating in the parks can be quite costly. Staff were efficiant and I had no complaints about them. Bar was a bit expensive, but that was more to do with the exchange rate. Lady working in the shop was a lovely lady and very helpful. Room was a bit small for a family room, (2 double beds) but then again your out all day anyway.
They offer a 50% military discount on everything! As a single parent of teenage boys, family vacations can be very expensive. Rosen Inn Universal made it possible for us to have a fun filled vacation in an extremely comfortable environment without breaking the budget. The rooms are very nice and clean. Housekeeping does a very good job of cleaning the rooms each day a respecting your property. They honored every request that we made for extra pillows, towels, washcloths, etc. The entire hotel smelled very nice everywhere, the elevators, the rooms, the lobby...The staff is amazing! They treated us like they had been knowing us forever. I love this hotel. I will stay here everytime I need a hotel in Orlando. Oh, I forgot to add that this hotel is right on the bus/trolley line. You can purchase unlimited passes online. The trolley runs until 10:30pm. The bus runs later.
Our family has been coming here for over 10 years off and on. We have always enjoyed the location of this hotel to the malls and the local attractions. There is a restaurant inside as well as a pool outside and a game room.
