We have stayed in many Florida hotels over the years, and this Rosen hotel never disappoints. It's inexpensive, the rooms are good and clean, the pool area is great, the breakfasts are good and varied, the gym is the best equipped of all the hotels we've been to, the bar is good but we have not yet tried the Shogun Japanese restaurant. I cannot persuade my wife to try it. A special mention must go to all the staff, especially Joan, Margaret and young Luiz in the Palms restaurant. If you haven't been to Orlando before, this hotel is fantastic value.
This is a nice no thrills hotel, clean with amenities in room. Staff are very good. Quick at fixing problems when you call from desk which is more than I can say than some more expensive ones I been to.Great location, price ok, busses stop outside so over all a thumbs up!
Absolutely no complaints from us. We were on the 7th floor in the main building and had great views of the pool and Volcano Bay from our room. The beds were very comfortable and the perfect place to get a good night's sleep after a hard day theme parking. The rooms were cleaned every day and there was always plenty of towels and cups. You get a fridge too which was perfect for us to store our milk for morning cereal and bottles of water. The shower took a little while to drain out the water but this really didn't bother us as everything else was really spot on. 10/15 min walk from major restaurants on I Driver such as Dennys and Chillis and a 30 minute walk to Universal. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again! Highly recommended. Smaller compared to the other Rosen Inns too which we quite liked. Felt very peaceful.
Arrived 28th April 2017 @ 6.20 . Check in easy . Room basic . Unpacked plenty of space for clothes . Room cool due to A/C being set at 65 , but very old and noisy !.There was an iron and board a coffee machine of sorts . Very few sockets .Used all the facilities, breakfast spot on it you want cooked its less than $20 for two people that with a tip if you wish to add more you could .International bar happy hour from 5 -7 and 10 till close . Couldnt work out prices it was sometimes $3 or $3.80 for yingling beer .Tried the "shogun " once was enough very pricey , but you might like it .All in all a very good run hotel , cheap , fantastic staff all from top to bottom .One of the security was a bit awful to a member of staff which was not called for ...Parking easy .Now for the bad part . We reported a problem which I will not go into it was dealt with swiftly and the mess cleaned up . The A/C need replacing urgently they are very noisy and you couldn't sleep with them on. The proximity of interstate 4 is a problem 24/7 noise and because the a/C are so large the hole on the outside is the same so even with sealed windows the traffic noise is deafening I was sleeping 3 hours a night and having the tv on all night to lessen the noise .The shower stopped working on our stay .We reported and by the time we got back it was fixed .After about 5 /6 days my wife got bitten by something and we thought it was because of the mozzys at the theme park near to water , but I hadn't. No my wife was sleeping in the bed I was not to warm . After this she started sleeping on the top like I was there was no more bites but by this time she was using repellent . We could not say it was anything to do with the hotel , so didn't report until the day we left and ONLY MENTIONED then just to looked into .I'm sorry to say i would not stay there again due to the a/c and the interstate 4 . The staff and management were great .Oh something to add the shuttle buses to universal need seriously need updating they are old and falling to bits .We went on the 10.10 to universal it stopped outside the entrance to the hotel the driver said of it runs too long it stops and resets itself .We were planning to come back on the 4.30 didn't arrive nobody explained what was up . Some people complained and were given taxis bk to hotel at 6.35 a bus appeared the driver very apologetic . When we returned back to hotel the universal people on the stand didn't really seem to care the next day .
We stayed here for two nights and got the room in west wing of the hotel, I wasn´t very happy of it, but then I have realized, It was the best. West wing means, that you don´t have to go through the reception to your room, you can park and go straight up to your room. Very quick and easy. The room was also nice and clean and silent. Parking lot is guarded, access is only through the gate.
