Did the Job

Stayed here on vacation. Was alone in this hotel while rest of party stayed nearby. Large room and very comfy bed. Bathroom could be bigger while room could be smaller. Overall very happy. Handy free parking. Great location in International Drive. Clean comfortable and busy but not noisey. Pool nice. Shop next to reception was always open and very handy for snacks etc. Actually used the gym twice. Small but did the trick. Check in and out very efficient. Hotel needs makeover but not a big issue. Good value for money. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

Brilliant stay

We stayed here for 2 weeks over Christmas and New Year and loved it. The room was huge with a big queen sized bed, plenty of towels, TV, iron and ironing board, hair dryer, big wardrobe, alarm clock, big bath/shower, a table with chairs, 2 bins, a free safe, microwave, a little fridge and a coffee mate. the wardrobe doesn't have a lot of hangers so if you are taking a lot of clothes that you want to hang up, it will be worth taking some of your own.The room is cleaned everyday unless you put the Do Not Disturb sign on the door. The wifi is free and no matter where I was in the hotel, I got a perfect signal and I was up on the 6th floor. The reception staff give you a slip of paper when you check-in with the password.Checking in and out was done very quickly, we arrived at about 9pm and it only took us 5 minutes to check-in. Check-out was the same. If you are going on an overnight trip, let the reception know as they can put a pin lock on your room. The pool isn't huge but there wasn't always that many people round the pool while we were there so it didn't really matter. When it is heated, it feels like a big warm bath. It's cleaned every day and you are given towels without having to pay a deposit. The little shop is a bit on the pricey side, we mainly went to the Walgreens as it was only a few minutes walk away but if it's late and you really need something, the shop has just about everything. There is a counter for booking trips and getting park tickets, plus there are loads of leaflets to pick up. We spoke to a few people on the counter over our stay and they gave us great advice. If you want to book the free shuttle to Universal, you have to book it at the about between 7am and 11:45am. You can only ever book for the next day or on the same day, you can't book a few days in advance. The shuttle only takes about 20-30 minutes as it stops at a few other hotels. Or you can walk to Universal, it's less than a mile away and it's a very straightforward route. It took my husband and I about half an hour to walk it.if you are going to Disney, you can book a taxi from the counter, a return journey is $20.I would suggest getting a pass for the I-trolley as it stops right outside the hotel and goes from one end of International Drive to the other. All the staff are great, very happy and helpful.

Great place but some quirky guests

First things first: when you book a Rosen hotel in Orlando make sure you're booking the right one. We were staying for 10 days and they managed to accommodate our move from Rosen Inn International to Rosen Inn (closest to Universal) after the first night. The Shogun restaurant and International Pub both have really nice food. We would definitely recommend the wings from the bar.The people at the desk for the free shuttle to universal were helpful and the shuttle itself was useful. However for Disney World we chose to use public transport. It was a lot cheaper than the $20 per day per person shuttle with inconvenient pick up times. However it also took 1.5hours to get to Magic Kingdom/Epcot, longer for the other two parks. Ultimately we would recommend an Uber for Disney World and use of the free shuttel for Universal. Our one negative experience was another guest taking our clothes out of the dryer and leaving them on top of the machine while his own clothes dried. As there were no seats we'd set our alarm for the time required and returned to our room, and this situated resulted. When we visited 3 years ago, 1 round through the dryer did not fully dry our clothes and (provided the other guest did not stop the drying cycle early) our clothes did not dry fully this time either, though we were able to hang them to dry in our room. All in all we'd return as this is our preferred hotel in this price range on International Drive.

Fab as always

3rd time staying at the hotel. We always look at other but get drawn to 'old faithfull'. Best hotel around, very quiet and not bothered by anyone or anything. Rooms have been updated and look great, beds are the bees knees and the amenities/location can't be faulted.Looking to book orlando for 2017 and as it's my 30th whilst there we have looked at more luxurious hotels but as always keep going back to Rosen Inn to price it up. Amazing hotel.

Old needs a make over

We stayed here for 3 weeks over Christmas and new year on first arriving we wasn't impressed. Now let me just say the hotel is only a 3 star glorified travelodge so ok but drab and dated we tried to change and the hotel was willing to upgrade us to a better one of there hotels paying a supplement but thomas cook had to confirm but cut a long story short thomas cook wanted some ridiculous amount to change even though the hotel asked some three times cheaper price so we had to stay . The rooms are small for a family and the beds are to considering American beds are big they need a good clean I don't think my window and frame had ever been washed the room and hallways smell like a old BB and my son kept saying the hallway looked like something out of the movie the shining. I bought a spray bleach and some Polish to clean floors and toilet and to try and freshen the room up a bit . I won't say wouldn't stay hear again if they improved on the cleaning and freshened the place up a bit just because it's a cheap hotel doesn't mean it can't be clean fresh and bright. But I have to say the staff reception shop info and security are 100% they are the niceest people I have come across in a hotel so credit to them they are the best thing about this hotel like I said it's a cheap basic hotel but it just needs a brightening up all so the restaurant only serve breakfast think it would be good if they done a buffet lunch or dinner whean you can't be bothered going out of the hotel would be good . Lovely staff needs a few tweeks.
