Rosen Inn at Pointe Orlando

Me and my girlfriend stayed here for 2 weeks recently, first of all you aren’t even acknowledged at the reception. I was actually on my own standing at the desk in front of 3 receptionists and all they done was look at me like I’d pee’d in there kettle for at least 10 minutes then look back down at there computers I don’t know if they were all busy or if they were playing solitaire. The room seemed good until my girlfriend who is petrified of any insects spotted masses of ants on the unit beside the tv. After I killed them all they would only appear again and on different tops you CANNOT leave any food around even if it’s only a bag of crisps, if you do your room will be like a david Attenborough documentary. I also had to tackle centipede type things and a couple of large cockroaches. By the end of the 2 week holiday I felt like I’d completed an apprenticeship in exterminating. Also the bar is extremely busy every night with pensioners so if you can’t be bothered going out on Idrive and would just like a chilled drink in the hotel bar you don’t have a chance because their isn’t even any seats to sit in as it’s always so busy unless you like standing at the bar all night after being at theme parks all day. Anyway the only thing I recommend about this hotel is the lite bite shop as the staff in their are very nice and it’s convenient if you need anything as it’s 24 hours.
Stayed at this hotel from 6th to16th November and unlike some reviewers we found it to be quiet. However due to its size I would not like to stay there during peak holiday periods. Our room overlooked International Drive and had no traffic noise. I wouldn't have liked a room on the back as they overlook the I4 and it's constant traffic. The room we stayed in was spotless and looked as if it had been recently decorated. It was cleaned every day, fresh towels daily and beds change regularly.I always find it difficult to sleep in a strange bed, however the bed and pillows were so comfortable a slept really well. The hotel is ideally placed on International Drive being close to restaurants and literally over the road from the Pointe. I can't comment on anything within the other parts of the hotel as I did not partake of any of the facilities. The only negative and this is the same at all the US hotels I have stayed at, is the size of the towels, they are much too small and could do with being bath sheets.
Just got back from a two week hoilday here and it was great. The rooms where nice and clean and the staff where nice and friendly. The only thing I didn't like was people putting there towels out round the pool before breakfast and not returning until later on in the day. On one day me and my family was down early and we found it a bit intimidating with some people looking at us as if we had taken there seats so we moved and went to another pool. We where staying in block A.
Love this hotel, great location, brilliant staff, rooms are clean, two queen beds and has all you need in a room. Had one small problem in room sorted before we got back from day out. Ladies in Lite Bite always remember me which is nice touch
We booked this knowing full well it was a budget hotel, and as we are not hard to please I was originally happy to give this 4 out of 5. It was noisy, however if you're a heavy sleeper it's not too big of an issue. If you are a light sleeper, I would consider because the hotel is next to a helicopter tours unit, and also the walls are very thin. One night at about 2am, 2 men somewhere outside our room woke us (and I'm sure many others) by shouting and rapping. Obviously this was a one off, so we ignored it.Otherwise, the hotel was fairly clean, coffee etc replaced regularly and the fridge was clean. We were even offered a free meal on our second night as complimentary. However, on two occasions, one at the start and one towards the end, we left our room locked before being cleaned, and came back to the door ajar. One of these times we had been out for 12 hours, meaning the door had been open all day. We mentioned this to reception both times, but the reaction was very dismissive and we didn't feel like anything would be done, though we asked for it to be reported as although we had a safe, you can't fit everything in there.Overall, it was a decent enough hotel but a few issues swayed it, and if I came back I would not choose to stay here again.
