Sheraton Vistana Resort
- What's Included
This is our 8th visit to Florida and our second visit to the Sheraton Vistana Resort. This is most probably the best place we have stayed over the years. Not necessary the most expensive or cheapest place but its beautiful and tranquille with its tropical gardens, lakes and fountains. Our villa was in the cascades area opposite the pool and market place which made it great if you just wanted to pop over for a coffee or if by the pool you forget something and the wife sends you back for it. My only critique would be when you first book in there is a bit of a sell to try and get you to come to one of there vacation meetings. After a day travelling and being up for 24hrs its not the best time to try and engage but to be fare as soon as we said not now they stopped. Great base for your Disney Holiday very close to all the parks and easy access to all routes. There is a lot to do at this place with its many pools, tennis courts and eating places which means when you want some down time from the parks there is plenty to do. We really had a great time and will definitely be going back for a 3rd time.
We stayed in the Spas section. It appears to be an older section, but everything was brand new in our villa. We could easily walk to the Cascades pool and the Super pool. We had dinner at Zimmies after a long day at the Magic Kingdom. It was nice to be able to relax in the pool and massive hot tub while waiting for our food. My 3 year old son loved the fountains and waterfall at the Cascades pool. We highly recommend this place if you decide to stay off of Disney property. The gates to Disney's property are no more than 1-2 miles from this resort.
I visited for Memorial Day weekend to attend my nephews high school graduation. What a beautiful experience there with my family! The rooms were beyond my expectations with being clean, cozy and huge. Full amenities, friendly staff, crystal clear pools, parks, arcades, EVERYTHING! I feel blessed to have had such a beautiful weekend with my family there. THANK YOU SO MUCH! I really do hope to be back next year.
We stayed here to visit Disney World. Room was nice and came with a good view and full kitchen. The hotel has two big pools and play ground. From where we stayed the hotel store was decent walk. We usually love free breakfast but this hotel did not provide that. Its has decent food from their restaurant. Overall we loved the stay and would definitely stay again.
We stayed here for a week. Our unit was booked through an IA getaway. We arrived for a late check in at 11pm. The customer service rep was very accommodating and we were placed in unit 38, building 2 of the Courts section. This unit had 2 BR, 2 baths, loft and full kitchen. The unit was directly across the street from the Marketplace which was very convenient to get groceries. We were also across the street from Zimmies, the gym, and the superpool. There was also a few play areas for the kids. The parking was fantastic and we always got a spot in front of our unit. There were absolutely no noise issues, no bugs-even at night. My first impression of the unit was that it smelled moldy when we entered. The unit was a bit dated but very huge. There was a bedroom for our kids upstairs (2 twin beds) and a sleeper sofa in the loft area. The unit had 3 TV's. Unfortunately the unit was not cleaned very well. Our kids feet turned black after walking around in the unit for a few hours. The carpet really needed a shampoo and the floors needed to be mopped with a clean mop. I was not walking around intentionally looking for stuff to complain about either. The place was superficially cleaned and really needed a deep cleansing. My kids are very young and like to throw their toys around, and occasionally they wind up in places where you have to move furniture or look under furniture to find the toys. So I found that there was lots of dust in certain places (under couch and some corners) which was very disappointing to me. The dishes and silverware didn't seem very clean either but we usually rinse everything first anyway. The resort is in close proximity to all Orlando attractions. We ate a few times at Zimmies which was suitable. The customer service here was excellent. Anytime we needed something it was taken care of immediately. I am sure that if we wanted to make a stink about our unit not being cleaned properly they would have rectified the situation.
