Sheraton Vistana Villages
- What's Included
Stayed here for 12 nights back in July in a 2 bedroom Villa. Nice clean accommodation with incrediblely comfortable beds just what you need after a long day at the Theme Parks. There are 3 pools on site and a restaurant which seves lovely food. Also a grocery store - handy for milk, bread etc. Great friendly staff who will always help with any request including purchasing of theme park tickets. Location of property is fabulous and a courtesy bus is provided to theme parks at various times during day and evening. Also bus stops right outside property which take you in any direction you wish to go and Reception sell bus passes. Overall would definitely return to this property and would recommend as a great family place to stay.
I stayed in this resort together with my wife and 2 kids on a recent trip to Orlando. We had such an amazing time! I was told on the phone that you can't reserve a crib, but upon arrival, I was told that one will be brought to my room right away. David G. at the front desk was so nice and friendly! He told us that we were upgraded and he took the time to explain to us all the amazing features and amenities that the resort has to offer. We only used the St. Augustine pool my kids really enjoyed it. The pirate ship and slide is so cute. We also had a great view in building 26 of the pool and lake, All in all, we enjoyed every part of this resort and hope to come back again!
This was our first stay at a non-Marriott timeshare resort, and we have been Marriott owners since their first timeshare resort. (Although I know that Sheraton now falls under the umbrella of Marriott-owned properties.) Our stay was ok. We appeared to be in an older section of the property at the back of the resort. When I asked for a unit that did not have a tub shower, we ended up with a condo specially designed for wheelchairs. We did not need that. I even questioned the Desk Clerk about that. But we managed ok, although bathroom floor got very wet during showers since no shower doors, just shower curtain. Also, strong odor in unit. Engineering came out and sprayed the air filter. That helped a little, but still smelled the odor--especially when coming in from outside. Second day found that the faucet in kitchen was leaking and water was running across granite. Engineering came out and had to put in new O Rings. Later in week, top tray in dishwasher wouldn't go in. Again, Engineering had to come out to fix. Following day small door you put detergent in dishwasher wouldn't stay shut. By this time, I was not calling for Engineering to come out AGAIN, so I let it go. On the plus side, quite an attractive resort with one large pool geared to kids and two other smaller pools. The pool in Key West Village was very nice with a pool bar and Market Place. I think Key West area would be a nice place to stay. Also, there is a restaurant on site near the big pool which is by the Reception Center. Most of staff quite friendly. Some day and nighttime activities provided, many for kids. I guess if you'll be spending your days at theme parks, this would be pretty convenient. Lots of upscale outlet shopping nearby also.
We haven't stayed here for 11 years. Yes it is much bigger now but no less amazing. Our 2 bed villa in the Keys was incredible and had everything we needed. The pool was beautiful and there was always a spare sun lounger. Flagler Grill was great and our server David was brilliant! Reception staff were friendly and helpful and we couldn't fault it at all. Will definitely be returning!!!
In January I stayed at the Sheraton Vistana Villages for 4 nights with my family. This was our second stay at the hotel, and we had another great experience. The rooms are large and comfortable. They have multiple pools, but our favorite has a pirate ship with a small water slide and then a large water slide next to it. There's also a small playground. This hotel is perfect for families with poolside activities. And the location is quiet, yet 15 minutes from Disney and probably less then 5 to Sea World. My only complaint was the cold weather we had...which didn't let us take full advantage of all the facilities.
