I gave this four stars because the three bedroom condos are very spacious. The accommodation are spacious and clean.So 4 stars...but the accommodations we had were definitely dated. Furniture was literal falling apart. But the other problem I had were the hidden charges that you only find out about when you check in. I have no problem with the resort charge, in fact it was in line for the amenities. I had a problem with a charge for cleaning, which we were never told about...either by the travel agent or the resort when we made contact. They also would like you to take out an insurance policy for damage..rate was $39. Maybe if you rent to a bunch of spring breakers, then you have issues, but families there for Disney hardly cause deliberate damage. Needless to say we opted out of the insurance.The grounds are nice, clean and safe. The pool areas are very nice and they have a restaurant on site..we did not eat there. There are many eateries near by.Staff was friendly and we bought our Disney tickets from the booth in the lobby. You still must wait on line at Disney to validate.All in all, I would probably go back there since it is well situated for all attractions...about 18 min to Magic Kingdom..all hwy
My fiance and I chose this resort as we had heard good things. We had just recently got engaged, and this was a birthday trip for me. On the day of my birthday we arrived to the Tuscana after a long day of travel. When we walked to the front desk, We were treated as if we were invisible. When we finally got the woman's attention, she looked at us as if we were annoying her with our presence. She constantly rolled her eyes, and was extremely rude. When we finally called her out on it, we asked to speak to her manager. Not only did he act annoyed as well, he did not act as if what she was doing was wrong. We ended up tellin them we were leaving to go to a different hotel. And all he could said was "fine, go ahead". We were ecstatic to arrive at this hotel and start our vacation. Not only was my birthday ruined, But so was the beginning of our vacation. I was in the phone with my travel agency, almost in tears, When a kind woman named Maria who I believe worked in a different department, saw how stressed we were and offered to help. She upgraded our room and left us a care package. Once we got into our room she called and asked if we needed anything else. If it weren't for her, we would have found another resort. Maria should be praised for her customer service skills, And the other 2 should have been fired. I have never been met with such rudeness in my life. There are a TON of resorts we could have chosen, and we chose to spend our hard earned money at the Tuscana where we were treated like garbage. Needless to say we will never be back, but we truly appreciate what Maria did for us to make my bierbfau/engagement trip special. Thank you again Maria!
Arrived after a long and terrible flight from the UK to be greeted by a friendly member of staff and after a very quick check in and settled in our room 3 bed room which was not bad for a base for us as we didn't spend much in it as we were visiting all the parks (20 miles away on the I4). The first night we went to the bar/restaurant and was greeted by a great and very friendly member of staff (Jenny) the food was rated the BEST we had during our trip by all of us beating all the big restaurants local and in the parks. I can't say enough about Jenny the bar manager looked after all of us excellent even offered to walk our 16 year daughter back to our room at 10 at night.The only negative point was we didn't see house keeping at all no change of bending etc but had a washing machine so wasn't a problem and I suppose I could have gone to reception to ask about housekeeping. Wifi very good fast and reliable.Would I come back YES
We got the bad part, unfortunately. We stayed at the Fountains Resort. The facility itself, from a construction standpoint, was of the quality we expected. However, the washer had mold inside and did not work. This prompted management to change our rooms which was a real hassle. The room we moved into had a couple of small things which should not happen in a quality resort. An upstairs bed had a problem in that one of the legs of the bed fell off and had to be put in on blocks the next day. Two drawers in the kitchen had fasteners loose that we constantly had to reattach. Initially the water pressure was low, but improved after we notified management. We did not expect these problems in a quality resort charging premium prices.We had a large group and occupied approximately 12 separate facilities and ours was the only one with issues so I doubt our experience was normal. I believe the problems we experienced could have easily been avoided by proper maintenance instructions.
We spent 4 nights at Tuscana in July and made the best of it but I am not sure that we will return to this property. I was aware of the resort fees and did not have a problem with paying them but if I am being charged a resort fee, I expect better customer service as well as a working phone in the unit and a functional bathroom. My problem started with check in. Although checking in was fast and easy, the front desk employee who's name I believe to be Andre was not very welcoming or friendly. He acted as if my checking in was a bother to him. I knew that I was taking a chance arriving an hour early and that there was a possibility that my unit would not be ready but while standing in line, I saw that guest were allowed to check in so I figure I would give it a shot. Andre was very short and with no explanation told me that I had to come back in an hour. I was confused due to other guest were allowed to check in early. I wasn't too bothered and figured that they could have been owners or requested an early check in prior to arrival so I decided to take the family for an early dinner and return at 4pm. When we returned, we were able to check in with no issues but when I asked Andre about the movie theater that is listed online, he pointed to the check in brochure and said that the information is there. When we arrived to the room, I read the brochure looking for the information on the movie theater and the brochure said to call the FRONT DESK STAFF. I picked up the telephone in the living room to call the front desk to ask about the movie only to find out that the phone did not work. I went into the kitchen and the bedrooms to find another phone but there were no working telephones in the unit. The remote controls to the televisions were also broken. I asked the housekeeper that was in the stairwell to call and ask for someone to take a look at the phone and the remotes and she said that she would call it in. After a few hours, a guy showed up with new remotes. I asked him about the phone and he said that he was only informed about the remotes but would take a look at the phone. He said that he fixed the phone but when we tried to use it after he left, it was still not working. I walked over the office to ask for a working phone and the front desk said that they would send someone over. No one showed up that night so I went to the office the next day to ask for someone to come over to fix the phone as well as the shower door that was off track and wouldn't open and the toilet that ran all night and never filled with enough water to flush. The front desk said that she would send someone but no one came that day either. My husband fixed the toilet and shower himself. I went to the front desk on the third day to ask for a new phone and again I was told that someone would come over but...no one came. On our 4th night we returned to the room to find that they had finally put a phone in the master bedroom but never fixed the phone in the living room.Other than those issues, the accommodations were spacious and clean and the kids enjoyed the pool but that is not enough to make me want to return to this property. We travel several times a year and prefer to find resorts or hotels that we can frequent but bad customer service is a deal breaker for us.
