OverviewLakefront Villa Complex situated 1 mile from Sea World & 2 miles from Universal Studios.
Was put in unit next to freeway, had to almost yell to communicate. Noisiest night ever! Wife called next morning and after several hours of getting the run around we got another unit on the backside. So we packed up and moved, no help from staff. For all the money we have spent upgrading to premium status, units are far from. Cramped and worn, lighting the worst, need a flashlight to read with. Grounds are nice and clubs and pools are also. Parking can be a problem when full up. Just not up to expectations, we own in Branson and units way better.
We entered into a timeshare and we were told we had a 10 day window to cancel. After reading over some of the policies, that were not discussed in the presentation, we decided it was not a good fit for us. We decided to call and cancel. We were not told how to cancel, instead we were told "let's find you another option." After saying no several times, we finally gave in as long as we could still cancel if the offer was not presented within the 10 days. The lawyer told us that would be okay. We got the offer and again said no. But we were unable to contact ANYONE who would tell us how to cancel. They kept avoiding the question. Our phone calls and emails went unanswered until AFTER they took money out of our account. After calling the company to try and get things settled they were completely unwilling to work with us on getting it cancelled and even though we have communication records of the lawyer okaying the cancellation process past the 10 days, they are not accepting our cancellation.
We had a great girl's getaway at Westgate Lakes. The two bedroom unit provided plenty of space. We used the kitchen and laundry. A special shout-out to Karl Gabaud for being so friendly and welcoming. Also, housekeeping does a great job and I appreciated the work of Ms. Jokham. Thanks to both for making the getaway that much more enjoyable.
Wonderful service. Especially Michelle. We’d return Any call to guest services was polite and prompt. Very close to Disney. Excellent amenities and friendly people. Only regreT was high pressured salesperson.
We travel a lot all across the globe and this had to be the worst check in experience we've ever had. Somehow while checking in, the front desk clerk handed us off to another person who then handed us off to guest services. They said they would take good care of us, show us to our room tell us about the property..etc. so far so good. When we hit the desk, this very dominating man tried to force us to take a 60 min tour of the property.. kept saying its not SALES.. but oh yes it was. So after I said no I will not take any 60 min tour due to our short stay and travelling the first time with no children in 13 years we were tossed aside and told to go out the door and go left. SO RUDE! We had no parking pass, no map... nothing! Once we finally found our room after driving and walking around we called the front desk to ask about our parking pass, since security had already asked us for it and a map, they kept saying it should be in your welcome packet. I can assure you it was not. So it took a good 24 hours to get over this really poor experience upon check in. Property is very nice and property outdoor staff super friendly. We just wanted to relax by the pool, have a couple cocktails and go out for some nice meals. We did find a super quiet out of the way pool for 3 days. Only negative, it was right next to the sales office where they took people just trying to vacation on tours not trying to sell anything...lol - we heard the spiel over and over.. trust me its sales, very much like timeshare doesn't matter what you call it. The funny part is, if they had just given us a fantastic experience then maybe we would have considered the idea of some type of ownership since the property is nice. Rooms are a little dated and need some work but overall a nice place to vacation and very close to Sea World, stores, and many good restaurants. Walls are paper thin, we didn't find out until we actually had a neighbor the last two nights of our stay and you could here their entire conversation in the hallway. They need to work on customer service and experience or the reviews will keep going down, By the way this is my first bad review in many years of travelling.
