Do not book any timeshare on a trip here. We had to pay half price and had to put up with high pressure sales staff. I wish K would have booked elseware. Although the property and room is beahtiful, there was .minimal security and lack of supervision from parents. Maybe you would like it but 6 hours one on one pressuring us to buy It put a bad taste in my mouth.
A wonderful holiday in Orlando once again .Just relaxing and chilling out by the pool with my lovely wife enjoyed staying here once again. No theme parks this time.Food drink and a nice Tan.Looking forward to next year already probably with family and friends
This resort would've received a 5 star review, but the treatment we received after we said no to a timeshare really upset me. We were taken around the property on a golf cart, but once we said no we had to find our way back to our car! Lucklily the shuttle bus driver saw us walking from the main building and stopped and picked us up. The room was clean and spacious, but we will not return
I am from and live in NYC, but my husband and I are Westgate timeshare owners. I'm reading different reviews of customers stays and I have to say the quality of vacation here widely depends on the time of year. Vacation peak seasons: anywhere from end of April through September are likely to expose guests to noise and staff disorganization. Hence the words "peak season". These places are selling their rooms at hugely discounted rates so they can suck people into purchasing timeshares. Therefore, you may have very sophisticated, quiet people or you may have very loud and unruly adults and children. I found their rooms to be clean, but I can see how a room can be given dirty because the communication amongst staff can be poor, especially during peak season. So far I stood at four locations of Westgate in Florida and I found the Kissimmee ( which is where I own) to be the best. Awesome amenities, activities, supermarket, shopping areas, of course Disney and other great parks! We used to go in July- my birthday/anniversary but the weather is way too hot and everything is way too crowded. We now go in January because in FL the weather ranges from high 60s to high 70s and we love it! We have 3 children and we are able to take advantage of Universal studios, City Walk, The chocolate Factory, paintballing and even Ziplining! This place is convenient and of luxurious Quality! If you're going to Westgate Lakes Resort and Spa ask for a room away from the pool if you prefer quiet! I, myself had a good experience there, but the noise didn't bother us. There's also a lot of traffic with the selling of the timeshares that may make you feel like you are getting sucked in, not necessarily a vacation. That's why I can't give it 5 stars.
I have always heard nice things about west gate resorts. I was in total shock when I got to the room. There was toe nails in the floor, Pubic hair on the towels and wash cloth, the carpet was sticky and our feet got dirty just by walking on it. I told them about the condition of the room and they got some one to come clean it. They did sweep up the toe nails but they left us more wash cloths with pubic hair on them! It was one of the grossest places I have ever stayed! I will not be staying there ever again.
