We stayed in a "premium room" which was a top floor room with a king bed and an ocean view. The view was worth the extra cost, watching the sunset on the balcony was the highlight of our day. I used the Hilton app to check-in, it notified me at 11:00AM that our room was ready so we went to the hotel to check-in. When we went to the front desk were were informed our room was not ready but they called housekeeping to let them know we were there so they could get our room ready. They took our luggage and gave us a warm cookie and told us to relax on the property and they would call us when our room was ready, which they actually did, most of the time at other hotels we are told this and no one ever calls us.. We decided to grab a bite at Mango's while we waited for our room to be ready. Oh gosh, the food here is outstanding. We ate here 4 times during our stay and we were pleased with everything we ordered. The beach is gorgeous, very clean and the water wasn't even too cold in mid-February! We rented a cabana from the company that has them in front of the resort, you just pick one, sit down and someone will come collect $25 from you and put a reserved tag on it with your name so you can leave during the day and come back anytime you want. We walked the beach every morning. If you leave the hotel and go to the left you can walk for miles and see beautiful oceanfront homes. We saw dolphins one morning during our walk, that was exciting. The hotel is older, but it is kept up very nicely, it is decorated in a "Tommy Bahama" style. We ordered room service breakfast two mornings and both mornings our order was not correct and was missing items-like a side of bacon, side of toast and OJ when it was delivered but they did fix it very quickly both times when we called to notify them of the error. Our return flight home did not depart until 4PM so I called to ask for a late checkout and they said, "no problem", the resort was not busy when we stayed and it was midweek so maybe that was the reason that was so easy, lol. We stayed as a couple but we want to return with our children, they would absolutely love it here. The staff treat you like royalty, it's very nice, they made our vacation even better, great service is the reason we will return. This will be our "go-to" beach resort in Florida from now on, we 100% enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this hotel/resort for anyone looking for a relaxing beach vacation.
I have stayed here twice - this is one of the few chain hotels in this area. The location is great with the beach a few steps away. It is very handy to be able to charge the beach loungers to the room instead of having to take cash to the beach. I have never figured out the long wait for breakfast. It is a buffet and even when there are plenty of empty tables, I have never waited less than 20 minutes to be seated. Unless your breakfast is complimentary, consider other options.Parking is free (which is nice) BUT we found out that you can only receive a parking tag for one car per room. (Due to the distance from the airport, we had two). Despite the many signs that said they would tow cars without a tag, they told us there were plenty of spaces available and we could park two. I am not sure when/if it is enforced but if you are going to have more than one car, you will definitely want to check your options in advance.
We had a room right on the gulf and had great views of the sunsets. Room was very large for a resort hotel compared to others we have stayed at in St Pete Beach area. Many excellent choices for restaurants and shopping.
Hotel staff is amazing - breakfast is great - go someplace else for lunch or dinner - basically lower quality bar food - hotel is very overpriced for the quality of the experience - hotel location and the beach are the best perks of this hotel - guess you paying for the location not the quality of the hotel - I would have been very happy at this location if I was asked to pay $150 a night but not close to $300 with taxes - overprices
Really loved my room facing the Gulf of Mexico!!! Listening to the ocean as I fell asleep was so relaxing. Great food in resturant, and beach was easily accessible. Unfortunately the blue chaise lounges with umbrellas were steep to rent --$25.00/day...should have been included with my stay, as I am a Hilton Honors member.
