Sirata Beach Resort
- What's Included
We enjoyed our stay at the Sirata Hotel. Check-in was a breeze and the room was clean and comfortable with a fantastic view of the Gulf. The beach bar and the pool facilities were excellent. I would stay here again while in St. Pete.
Went to Sirata for a wedding; entire family was there. Although I didnt have any problems with Check in or even the room itself, the resort overall needs a facelift. Elevator is super sketchy in bldg #4, and the rooms just look, feel and smell old. I did enjoy the wonderful cocktails at a fair price, and the food at Rum Runners and Harry's was tasty and reasonably priced also. Get some new furniture, flooring and fresh paint... Would give it a whole new feel, considering the price you pay to stay. For that amount of money, a fresher room to come back to after a busy beach day would be great!
Halfway through our stay and we're loving it. I'm sure it will only get better! The bar is great and so is the beach, shoutout to Tomas! We look forward to spending many more vacations here. Another big shoutout to Matt, Jerry, and the maids (wish I could've caught there names) for being awesome!
First impressions are important. We had to park on a no parking area as we were directed to reception but it was full (2 cars) We pre-booked and after a stressful 100 mile drive we checked in. We asked if a kettle was available to make tea. It became obvious the receptionist had no idea what a kettle was. At great length she wrote down the address of the Publix store about 500m walk down the road where tea is available, taking time to find different colour highlight pens to highlight Publix... We were frankly amazed at our room. Lovely view of the beach over the pool in building no.1, 4th floor. The room itself is like an Extended Stay or Econolodge with a full fridge without the microwave or cooking facilities. It's wonderfully RIGHT on the beach and you WILL tread in a lot of sand and shell .The A/C is LOUD! We stayed in 1412 and had to turn down the A/C in order to sleep AND my GF had to use ear plugs. There was also a dehumidifier in the room that required emptying twice a day -sometimes in the middle of the night -it flashes and sounds an audible alarm - there was no mention of this by the hotel. The VERY LOUD NOISE from surrounding venues went on until after midnight quite often at the weekend, I am not talking about music I am talking about that deep repetitive bass sound that shakes the room. We were not personally bothered but others may be.I would personally not take breakfast in the hotel (Rum Runners) after our experience. We would certainly consider returning due to the great location and convenience.
Chose this hotel over others along the beach because it seemed to have the best pricing for what you get. We were not disappointed! The bar was great to hang out at as well as the pools (there's more than 1). The beach was very relaxing. Had a nice conversation with Thomas on the beach (the cabana boy). I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because it is a bit outdated, but definitely a bargain!
