Sirata Beach Resort
- What's Included
In June we attended a wedding destination event at Sirata Beach Resort. To be fair, this is an older Resort that has been renovated several times over the years. It has three different pools and several bars on property. While it is a nice resort, there are areas that need improvement.First, the food served was generally good. Our party enjoyed food from Rum Runners and Harry's by the pools with tasty adult beverages. Service was generally good.Compass Grille, the indoor restaurant, also served delicious local selections from their menu . We had lunch twice there. The room were passable and appeared to be updated. There are some, depending on the wing , that are due for updating. Most rooms have dehumidifier, which needed daily emptying. The beds were very comfortable.Room housekeeping service (we stayed for several nights) definitely needs work however. We were out of our rooms generally by 9am but most days they weren't cleaned until after5pm- and that is after repeated calls. The wedding view for our 6th floor ballroom was nice, service good but they had cooling issues during our event. Two of the three AC condensers were out, we were told , and this impacted our wedding reception experience. The room was warm during most of the reception.I've read that the Sirata was recently sold and is due for major renovations, so perhaps we will visit again when they complete them.Overall, it is not a bad resort for St Pete Beach.
Well, I wouldn't say it is the best resort hotel that I have ever been. However, it has everything you need, and it is so close to the beach. The pool is kind of small although there are three of them. The room is very spacious, which has a kitchenette and a small closet. I also like that they have electrical outlets everywhere in the room. I went there for a conference and I am glad that they have a small business centre that I can print as I forgot to print some of my conference materials. Overall, the resort is a bit old, but practical.
We had a very good experience checking in. Cindy was very knowledgeable and told us all about where everything was and best places to go. She was great!! We will be back for sure. The staff was all good.
We stayed here for a conference at a neighboring hotel. Granted, we were booked in probably the cheapest room, but there was nothing spectacular about the room. The pools were clean and they had some good live entertainment on site and were right on the beach, so that was a plus. I just wasn't impressed by the room, especially the bathroom, but when in st. Petes beach, I guess you don't spend too much time in the room, right?
The Sirata is a great hotel and my kids absolutely loved to go to the Xbox room that the hotel has. My husband and I stuck to Harry's while they were either in the pool or in the Xbox room. When we decided to go down to the beach we were greeted with smiles from the gentlemen at the tiki hut. Thomas and Ryan took care of us all day and we're very kind and helpful. All in all was a great experience and plan to come back in the future!!
