Footsteps away from the Gulf of Mexico, there is so much to do on Florida's west coast. Soak in the rays on the beach, then go and watch the Rays (the 2008 American League champion Tampa Bay Rays, that is) play ball at nearby Tropicana Field. Everything you need is within walking distance: shopping, dining, cruises and much more. After a hard day's work doing to town, enjoy all the amenities the Sunset Vistas offers. An outdoor pool is the centrepiece of the tropical courtyard. Some locals believe there lies a treasure chest left behind by John LeVeque, a French explorer who then became a pirate. Just another exciting way to spend your trip in sunny St. Petersburg.
Location: Located on the beach at Treasure Island, 47km from Tampa Int'l Airport.

Tropical Get Away

We live locally in Tampa suburb. Came here as a last hurrah before school started back up and had age range 89-15. We had a two bedroom - great view of the beach and pool. Spent time at the pool and beach - rented chairs on beach w/umbrella and enjoyed some drinks at tiki bar. Overall it was excellent. I did let mgmt. know our room was less than clean - very poorly stocked kitchen (stuff missing, some things broken), an overall condo could use a deep clean. That aside, it was a great get away.

This place is awesome!! We have been here since Monday and don't want to leave!! Rooms are spacious and clean. Our view of the beach is great. Pool is nice. Beach is nice and great for shelling. Can't wait to come back!

Always a wonderful stay!

My wife and I just revisited Sunset Vistas on Treasure Island, and once again, had a marvelous time. We stayed in a two bedroom suite on the 5th floor, with a lovely view of the beach. The place was clean, comfortable, and the staff, very friendly.

Gulf view is the star. Do homework before booking

My familly booked The Sunset Vistas a few days in July after looking around for a  nice resort in the St.Pete Beach area. First off, the Vistas is a decent condo/rental property but is more or less the standard open walk way and door type  travelodge beach hotel. Pros. The condos are beachfront. Most units on the front of the building have great views of the gulf. Pretty quiet beach. Not crowded most of our stay.If you or your kids like searching for shells, this is a good place to start. Most of the locals, tourists & hotel staff were pretty nice.  That's not always the case when travelling during the summer. The two bedroom suite was OK but after switching rooms due to a room issue at check in, you realize like a lot these type condos properties, no two are exactly the same. Cons:Price. Basic supply & demand. The ocean front suites can go for $360/night or more depending on dates. Not unheard of but in my opinion a bit pricey for this property. Some discounts are available so inquire before purchasing.  Strict cancelation policy. Read your booking info carefully. Because if you're not happy with your room, you may be locked into 3 nights charges. (72 hr notice needed per the front desk).  Ask questions before booking. Despite being advertised as being over 800sqft, the two bedroom suites' actual bedrooms felt very tight. Not much room to move around. Maybe not a con, but the condo definitely had an older crowd of parents, grandparents and grandkids. Not a "trendy" scene if that's what you are looking for. Again, this is a condo type property. So if you're looking for a resort type with lots of amenities, this may not be the place for you. Overall, a decent  property overall and my family enjoyed our stay at the beach but I'll probably trend towards a better known brand with more to offer when returning to this area for our next stay.

Wonderful setting

Apartment with a short stroll to the un crowded soft sandy beach. At this resort the guests do appear to follow the curtesy of not reserving beds around the pool which is great. To hire 2 beds with shade on beach is $30. Personally beach is so close it's lovely to have a swim in the sea & then return to the pool side. But the only downside is you cannot see the sea from poolside.Apartment was well stocked with appliances, we had a side sea view which mainly overlooked car park but sea could be seen. At night though it would probably have been nice to look out to the sea. Beds comfortable and temperature of the rooms were good. 2 bathrooms were handy for our family of 5 and functional and clean. This is a 3 star resort in walking distance ( although uber would probably be advisable) to Johns Pass which has a real beach feel with bars and trinket shops Staff lovely at Sunset Vista
