The Beachcomber Beach Resort
- What's Included
We stayed there 3 days during Christmas time. Check in was easy and fast. Room was in second floor - no elevators. We did not have much luggage so it was not difficult but if you are with childrens or have lot of luggage this is not the best situation. We were in the middle of the complex, so close to the swimmpool and bar. Since they have live music be aware that you may hear the music from your room. We had no problem with that BUT if you go to sleep early this may be an issue if you are closer to the swimming pool/bar area. The beach access from the hotel is a plus. You also have included in the Resort Fee (20USD daily)umbrellas and chairs or a cabana on the beach, so this was a big plus for us. The rooms are ok - I expected something more modern/updated for the price, but it was clean and has a big walking closet so you can put all your stuff there. You have microwave and refrigerator in the room which is also a plus. I will return to this hotel in my next visit to St Pete Beach.
2nd time at the Beachcomber. This time we stayed 5 days during Christmas. Great friendly place. Nice updated rooms. Friendly staff from cheking staff to the cleaning staff. 2 heated pools great outdoor bar Jimmy Bs and indoor bar. Beautiful beach with umbrellas and lounges included with room. Close to great restaurants and beautiful Pass A Grille. Great location. We will be back. Great rates too
Fabulous staff, service, location, and food. They went out of their way to accommodate our special parking need. Traveled from 3 states to enjoy a family Christmas together. Everyone was thrilled. Side parking was the only challenge having to back out from the far end of the building when full. Highly recommend!
Stayed for one getaway night, room was nicely updated, outdoor bar has great sunset beach views, live music, fabulous beach access, and the comfy beach cabana comes with room rental. Definitely going back!
I go to St. Pete Beach twice a year and even when I don't stay at beachcomber, I hang around there for the music. Their beach bar, Jimmy B's is the best place on the strip. Live music every night and a huge deck attached to the bar. And they are next door to the Toasted Monkey (at Howard Johnson hotel) which also has nightly music, and also next door to Postcard Inn (PCI) which has live music on weekends. Three live music choices right next to each other. And they're all right on the beach. Beachcomber is the better accommodations with private entrances from every room into their beautiful courtyard which has two pools. The rooms are nice (most have been updated) and their resort fee includes a cabana. Most of the hotels right on the beach have a resort fee of $20 to $25 but don't include w free cabana. I was there 11/11 and the pool temp was nice. Beachcomber has very good pricing on the off season. $85 a night when I stayed there plus resort fee (darn cheap compared to peak season). The bar by the front desk has good food and free pool tables, video games and pinball all the time. Staff is very friendly. We love to walk up and down the beach for a couple miles and see all the other hotels and stop at their beach bars to refresh our drinks. Beachcomber is the place to be. Ask for a fountain room to be centrally located on the grounds and a fair distance from the noise from the music.
