Tradewinds Island Grand Resort
- What's Included
My husband and I are were celebrating our 5 year marriage anniversary and we decided to take a little vacation to Florida and decided to stay at the Tradewinds Resort. When we arrived the check in process was very simple and fast, our room was absolutely breath taking. On our way to our room we were greeted by a housekeeping floor manager by the name of Marko, he was very polite and even showed us how to get to our room. Later that evening when we came back from dinner my husband and I had a gift from Marko for our Anniversary, champagne and strawberries, it was the sweetest gesture and made our evening even better. Marko made our stay at the Tradewinds the most special and he always kept checking in on us and always was a pleasure to talk to and see. Thank you for such a wonderful stay, we will be back to the Tradewinds to make more memories and we hope to see Marko again. Overall this experience was one I will never forget.
We got a suite here that had a living room and kitchen. The beach was great and there was plenty to do here if you want to take the family. We enjoyed the local areas and relaxed on our patio and in the cabanas for most of our long weekend. It was a perfect and memorable getaway.
I can't say enough about the quality of the conference room. Absolutely first-rate. We had over 300 people in the conference room and it fits perfect. Food, drinks, snacks we're very convenient right outside. Vendors were able to set up their tables with easy access for members. The hotel now has transportation services from the airport to the hotel and back. Ran about $65. They're cheaper ways to do it, but this was definitely a very convenient and convenient way of getting to the resort. The resort has tons of activities, from the inflatable slide, two lounge chairs on the beach, jet skis, parasailing, dolphin trips, and fishing. I know there's others but that's just on the beach.Appear to have at least three pools one that was three feet deep then another two one that is definitely set up for kids and families and another that was being used for volleyball and other stuff by a large group.Numerous restaurants throughout the hotel property really add to the convenience. The hotel has a lot of restaurant and bars right across the street for within point three miles of the hotel. The only thing negative appeared to be the rules. I went ahead and upgraded to a studio in the Villas. Those were super nice rooms; beds in the first part, then the bathroom, and then a large Den / kitchen area with a very small porch looking directly onto the beach and the Gulf of Mexico. Some of the other rooms throughout the property were smaller and a couple of people at our conference complain to me about them. The staff in the restaurants in the hotel were very friendly and helpful. Can't say enough about them. Finally the beds were very comfortable, very soft.Room service was very niceOverall this is an outstanding vacation destination. Families will greatly enjoy it.
Front desk staff most accommodating and couldn’t do enough for us. We were last minute travelers. Room with a view at the outpost. Food was rest at the bar especially the snapper sandwich! All the bar staff were extremely helpful as well.
This is a fine resort with many positives but it is DEFINITELY overrun with kids. Even the Guy Harvey Outpost has kids all over. Very displeased on this point. Other annoyances: ambivalent staffing, poor sheets, bar ran out of olives on a weekend morning? How odd. Left something behind and security returned it promptly. That was great. The room was spacious with a great view. It gets 4 stars only bc it was on the beach.
