Tradewinds Island Grand Resort
- What's Included
My daughter reserved a block of rooms for her wedding. The booking agent told her that her group would receive a discounted rate and that she and her husband would receive the honeymoon suit. Our "discounted" price was $259! And my daughter's "honeymoon suite" consisted of a small room with two queen beds crammed in and a small sitting area. There was barely enough room to walk around the beds. We were there for three nights and found the resort to just be mediocre in it's service, cleanliness (we had a broken glass in our room), and attention to detail. I would not spend $250/night for a family vacation at this resort.
Staff was very friendly, helpful with all questions. Lots of included activities which is covered under the resort fee you pay. Loved the cabanas on the beach. Our suite was clean and nice for the 3 of us, beds could have been better mattresses a little worn, great view from the balcony suite 2404 overlooked pool and straight out to beach. Beautiful sunsets. Family friendly lots of kids so if looking for quiet and relaxing this is not the place. Lots of restaurants nearby and on property. Our suite was heavily discounted because we knew an owner. If I had to pay full price it wouldn't have been worth it. You could stay at an all-inclusive resort in Mexico for all the costs of this place.
This is our fifth visit to trade winds for Thanksgiving. We visit Vieques every year. We stay at Trade Winds were it is friendly will maintain, clean and very will priced. Trade Winds has the best thanksgiving meal of any place in the whole of Puerto Rico. The dinner is as good and as enjoyable as my home made Thanksgiving meal. Ten stars toTrade Wi ds
We spent a week at the tradewinds with extended family and rented a 3 room timeshare unit. There was plenty of space. Maid service needs improvement as tables were not wiped down in any of the rooms and we saw roaches in the cabinet under the sink. There are daily activities however each day we would go by the pool for music and games as scheduled but this activity was not offered. Each night Smores are offered at the sister resort, Guy Harvey. The floating water park is not offered during fall season, however the giant slide is. Our kids enjoyed this especially since the ocean water was a bit cold during the month of November. The grounds are beautifully kept. Paddle boats and feeding the ducks was another highlight for the kids. Tradewinds provides varies offers if you decide to partake in their timeshare presentation which we were told was only an hour long, after 3 hours we left as the team monopolized our time. I would also recommend eating off the premises as the prices are grossly inflated everywhere from the snack stands to the restaurants. Fishing on the pier was a delight!
Margarita, Eketa and Karen came through to squeeze us in on a last minute cancellation for the fabulous Thanksgiving buffet. It's become family tradition to dine at the Tradewinds. The staff go out of their way to make sure the guests have an incredible time. Thank you for making it another great holiday for us!
