Hard Rock Hotel Vallarta Vacations

More nightly entertainment is missing. Excellent service, very friendly and helpful staff. It is incredible an all-inclusive place with meals 24 hours a day

I gave the Hard Rock an opportunity to respond to their internal survey that they sent out, but no response. Would have been 3 stars review if the customer service weren't so poor.

My fiance and I stayed at the Hard Rock in Puerto Vallarta the week of April 1st. Overall we had a good time mostly because 1. Puerto Vallarta is a beautiful place and 2. we got engaged that week. Here's the breakdown of how our stay went.

BOOKING: I booked directly online through the Hard Rock website and it was very easy to use. I booked a package that included early check-in/late check-out, free airport transfer, a free photoshoot and excursion discounts (this was a Black Friday deal). When I reached out to book the excursions, there was no mention of our free photo shoot or excursion discounts despite me mentioning the package I booked. When we arrived at the hotel at 11am, we were told that we did not have early check-in and our room was not ready. They had no system to let us know our room was ready ASAP, so we had to wait around until 3pm. All in all, they did not honor any of the things in the package I booked except for the free airport transfer.

FACILITIES: The beach was beautiful and the best part of the facilities. The pool was crowded to the point that it was difficult to find 2 chairs together. Despite there being signs everywhere against saving seats, I saw chairs being "saved" with books, towels and hats as early as 8am with no workers doing anything about them. We reserved the Bali Beds for 1 day and it was one of our favorite ways to experience the facilities. There should be an adults only pool.

FOOD/DRINK: This is an all-inclusive resort and the food was just OK. My fiance does not drink alcohol, so the food is a big deal for him. There was no variation at all in the breakfast buffets. We ate at Zen, Frida and had room service. It was all very average, so we ate all other meals off of the resort. Drinks were very watered down. If you are at an all-inclusive resort and don't see a single drunk person on the resort at all... the resort is watering down their alcohol.

CUSTOMER SERVICE: The servers at the pool and restaurants were excellent! Unfortunately, everyone else was not good. Housekeeping came by to clean our room every day at 4-5pm at which point we had been out all day and wanted to nap and shower before dinner. And the worst part of this whole trip? On the 4th night of our stay, our shower flooded which flooded the entire bathroom into the room. Clothes and shoes got wet. We went down to the front desk to move rooms and they DENIED our request. They did not even apologize nor did they offer to launder our wet and dirty clothes. They just sent a maintenance man with a plunger (to "fix" a clogged shower...) and housekeeping who had not even gotten to our room yet just wiped up the water and did not clean the rest of the room. That really was the final straw for us.

Overall we had a good time. Would we stay in this Hard Rock or any other Hard Rock ever again? That will be a hard NO from us.

Small resort, but that is why we liked it our kids could have their own vacation.

This place is so awesome everything you could want and more in a resort.

Very solid all inclusive experience and i would rate it at 4.5 out of 5 stars. Having frequented 20 or so all inclusives this one had a lot going for it. The things i enjoyed are the 5 pools with varying temperatures that will accommodate even the pickiest of swimmers. Ocean was quite refreshing and swimmable. Therewas no need to make reservations for specialty restaurants you just show up whenever. Your AI bracelet acts as your room key. Overall a very pleasant stay.

Rich vacations

We love this resort. The service and food were excellent. Our Hall of Fame membership gives us everything we need for our family trip of 14 people. Uriel, Gerado and Francisco did an excellent job serving us.

Our bathroom had a bad septic smell. The elevator bell was too loud. We heard the elevator bell all the way into our room. Door to the room needs to be more sound proof. Couldn't order food from the lounge chairs/poolside. The food by the pool area and restaurants was ok.
The staff/employees at arrival, check in, bellhop, pool waiters/waitresses, restaurant waiters and waitresses and over all staff services was great.
I really enjoyed the pool activities.

Awesome place compared to the Hyatt. One of the nicest beaches I've seen, great food, clean and service was above and beyond, especially at the Zen restaurant ( Felipe). Would definitely return.

Everything was very good and especially the kindness of Ms. TERE when leaving the hotel 😉⚘️

I went with my family and everything was incredible, they give you bracelets to enter the room and oh, a card for the light, the view is incredible

We recently had an incredible experience at Hard Rock Puerto Vallarta, where every detail exceeded our expectations. From the seamless check-in process, which included easy transportation from the airport - especially worth it with the private transfer option - to the attentive staff at the bell desk who continuously checked on us and even followed up on a lost bag from our flight, the service was impeccable.Throughout our stay, every employee, from the bell desk to the butlers assigned to our presidential suite (Gerardo, Francisco, and Uri), went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. The butlers took care of everything from restaurant reservations to trip and massage bookings, keeping us informed of daily activities and making arrangements for beach lounging and shows.At the resort, the swim-up bar, expertly managed by Roberto, provided excellent service, while staff members like Rafa at the market, Luis by the pool, Jasmine at the restaurants, and Vivi at the childcare facility went the extra mile to make our stay memorable. Speaking of childcare, the activities offered there were so engaging that our little one didn't want to leave.Although we initially reserved Bali beds, we found that poolside lounging was more our speed. Despite the resort's compact layout, everything was conveniently within walking distance, yet the staff still managed to provide exceptional service at every turn.Even with a spring break crowd, the resort maintained its five-star service standards admirably. I was particularly impressed by their handling of the situation, ensuring everyone received top-notch treatment.While we didn't explore old Vallarta, our excursion to San Sebastián with guide Carlos was enjoyable. And the "Rhythm of the Night" experience felt almost like a performance at Cirque du Soleil level, adding to the overall homely vibe and outstanding service.In conclusion, I can't recommend Hard Rock Puerto Vallarta highly enough. The combination of attentive staff, excellent facilities, and memorable experiences makes it a must-visit destination. I'm already looking forward to returning next year for another unforgettable stay.

- service was overall great.
- time share push was a bit much right at check in.
- second time share push at check out was annoying
- breakfast was good, but they did run out of pancakes and waffles the last 2 days
- beach is perfect, cabana rental was very affordable.
- rooms are small, we were on the first floor and had to keep our blinds closed as people are walking right in front of the room
- very kid friendly,
- Bruno mars cover band was fun

Overall, 3 stars. PVR is very nice. Prolly would try a different property next time.

Revisiting after 4 years!
I got married here at the hotel 4 years ago in 2019. So my husband and I decided to come for an anniversary trip! We booked through Costco (which was a breeze and included airport transfer). The hotel is just how I remembered it! I would say yes, compared to other hotels, it could use some updating but it’s very clean, 99% of the time! Our room was always cleaned up and spotless, the rest of the hotel was as well! The only time I was disappointed was the lobby bathrooms were absolutely disgusting; we did tell the front concierge and it was taken care of.

Overall the food was great! Great breakfast always and they have lunch by the pool that is offered everyday and the options always changed! They did always have burgers and hot dogs. Dinner buffet was underwhelming but the rest of the restaurants were great! I mean, a Brazilian steakhouse at a hotel? Amazing! The Asian restaurant was amazing and the chef knew we’re celebrating our anniversary and made a special off the menu appetizer! It was such a nice surprise and I couldn’t thank them enough.

The drinks I feel were okay; bottom shelf things and I did feel they were a bit weak even asking for doubles in drinks. But I’m not a big drinker so it didn’t bother me but I could see if someone was a bigger drinker, that it could be a little more underwhelming. They always have daily pool activities and they carried out to the beach! The staff was so funny and lovely! It was great poolside entertainment. The 2 big pools were great and I felt like I wasn’t on top on each other. Going in December, the ocean was cooler than I’m used to so having pools were a great option.

Hotel staff was very nice and welcoming, I will say, I do feel like they didn’t always go above and beyond if that makes sense. They always sweet, nice and welcoming but when we checked in, we told them it was our anniversary and we got married here 4 years ago. Not that we expected a room upgrade or anything special, I was disappointed they didn’t offer anything special to celebrate. My husband and I would have done perhaps a beach dinner or spa activity, it was just a congratulations and welcome back. Again, they didn’t go above and beyond kinda thimg.
The staff was great everywhere!

This hotel is worth the money and I believe one of the better hotels in Vallarta. They also decorated for Christmas which so sweet and I thought festive. I’ve been coming to Vallarta for 10 years now and stayed in multiple areas and resorts. For me to come back to a place, says a lot. That being said, I think staying at the Hard Rock a second time is I think the max amount I’d stay at this resort location. I think the only reason being is experience newer resorts in the Punta area. Now , I’m definitely planning on going to Hard Rock Riviera Maya though!

The service is very variable, there are very friendly people, but above all the service people in bars and restaurants leave a lot to be desired, always bad-tempered and understaffed. There are never ever lounge chairs in the pools. Everything is always separated. The food is very average, the dinner is delicious but with poor service. I think they are not as capable when there are many people in a place to be able to adapt. Inside the hotel in elevators, rooms and finishes; You can see the deterioration of the years. It even smells a little old now.

Awesome week! Entertainment was fun, pools were great. Beach was beautiful! Our barista, Mayber, was outstanding! Her warm, welcoming smile every morning brightened our day! Her coffee creations were delicious too! Luis at Zen was an excellent server!

The moment you walk in you get blasted with some kind of overpowering air freshener. After checking in you have to fend off the timeshare spiels.

The room was an 8/10. The only reason I knocked it down to an 8 is because the room was LOUD! We could hear all of the music/screams at the pool and every word spoken in the hallway.

The food was about a 6/10. However, the build your own pizza was great!

We paid for this trip with our VentureX points. I would be very upset had I actually paid for this trip.

There are a lot better options with smaller resorts/hotels that are closer to the city and have better amenities and rooms.

Excellent service and quality

I loved it, a very very fun place. The attention from the staff is excellent. The gym is good and the shows are excellent too. I had a lot of fun, the beach is very nice and they always have something to do. The food is good and the buffets are varied.

Our stay was incredible from the moment the collaborators welcomed us, the incredible sensational rooms. I visited the rock shop, all the souvenirs seemed incredible, what I loved the most was Messi's clothing line. I will not forget the excellent service that Miss Eneida (Harry Styles) gave us. Thank you very much, we will surely return soon.
